By the way, with this installation method there will be much more scraps. So the stock also needs to be increased. Take 37 pieces.
You also need to calculate the number of slats that will be needed for the sheathing. To do this, you need to divide the height of the walls (2.5) by the distance that you will need to leave between the sheathing elements (usually 0.5 m is left). That is, in our case it will be 2.5 / 0.5 = 5.
Now you need to find out the length of all the slats in linear meters. To do this, we multiply the resulting value by the perimeter of the room (in our case it is 16 m). Accordingly, the length of the slats in linear meters is 5 x 16 = 80 m.
Wall marking

Technology

Installation of sheathing
The sheathing is made of wooden blocks, a metal profile that is used for drywall, or special plastic strips. If you do the work yourself, then it is most convenient to install the sheathing from wooden blocks. They are the simplest and most convenient to use, and plastic strips can be attached to them with metal staples using a special stapler, which also simplifies the work process.
For any installation, the lathing is attached to the walls perpendicular to the direction of the cladding using self-tapping screws with press washers with a run-up step of 40-50 cm. In this case, all self-tapping screws must be “recessed” into the slats. The quality of the mounted base is controlled by level, placing it in one plane. If the sheathing is aligned carelessly, the edge last panel will bend outward and the defect will become obvious, which will ultimately affect the aesthetic appearance and quality of all work.
Since almost all walls are not perfectly level, before proceeding directly to finishing with plastic, on uneven sections of the wall, in order to align the frame of the sheathing on a plane, you will have to additionally place pieces of wood under it.
Installation of panels
The fastening of plastic panels to walls is carried out using the tongue-and-groove type, that is, on one side of the panel there is a recess - a narrow fastening shelf, and on the other a protruding ridge - a wide fastening shelf. To fasten such panels, a tenon of the next one is inserted into the groove of the previous panel.
