Stage one. Preparation

We only note that the length of the strip should be 2 meters, thickness - 0.2 centimeters, and width - about 8 centimeters.

Stage two. Substrate

During operation, the film will be subject to serious loads, due to which its service life will be noticeably reduced. Therefore, make a geotextile backing that will not only protect the film, but also serve as a kind of insulation. Heat loss through the walls and bottom will be reduced, so the water will cool more slowly.

To fix the geotextile, use a metal tape - secure it to the inner surface, then pull it securely non-woven material. This method The fastening is different in that the side here will be covered with plastic. The film will have to be “welded” to this plastic. Take this into account and try not to mix up the sides during installation.

Perhaps the most important stage work. Remember that after the bowl is filled with water, the film will stretch, and the tension depends on the steepness of the walls. Also, when planning the cutting pattern, remember that the pieces will be laid with an overlap of 0.2-0.6 centimeters, and it is important that they lie on the surface freely and without tension. In case of corner connections(for example, at the junction of the wall and the bottom), the overlap should be doubled - in other words, to approximately 1.2 centimeters.

Stage five. Film laying

First you need to finish the bottom of the bowl. The accuracy of the result of this procedure will determine how well subsequent operations will be performed. Place the film from bottom to top. Be sure to use a plumb line in your work - it is along it that you need to align the pieces of material.

Stage six. Welding

The stage of laying the film is also quite complex. You will no longer be able to redo anything in order to eliminate the flaws - you can only replace the required piece of material.

Lay adjacent strips first. Once aligned, grab them, otherwise they may move during welding. You can grab it in one of two ways.

1. If thin material is used, a spot connection using a solvent will suffice. At these points the solvent will melt, so everything is guaranteed to stick together.
2. There is another way - heat the film with a hair dryer in the right places, and then fix it. The work is difficult, but the rest depends on how well you do it.

Due to the fact that pools are not cleaned every day, most of us do not have practical experience in this type of activity. For this reason, defects will inevitably form at the joints. To reliably seal these joints, we recommend additionally treating them with special liquid compounds - joint sealants (these can be easily found on sale). You can easily select a sealant to match the color of the film, and there is nothing difficult in working with it. You just need to squeeze this product out of the tube, apply along the joint and wait a little (about half an hour if the temperature is room temperature). During this time, the product will harden but retain its elasticity.
