Outdoor fireplace in the country. How to make a fire bowl from brick or curb stone - ideas and tips. Choosing a place to place the hearth

In any case, on suburban area V warm time year there will be some garbage that needs to be burned or it will simply be unnecessary things. And here it becomes important how to arrange a place for a fire in the countryside so that the wind cannot fan sparks, which could cause a fire.

This question is most relevant in areas where wooden buildings prevail (even if not houses, but utility rooms), where in windy weather an open fire poses a particular danger. Making a protective structure in this case is not very difficult - we will talk about it below and show you a video in this article.

Fire pit

Note. The word “bonfire” in most cases means a place for a fire in a country house or other place, made specifically for this purpose, or left after the combustion of fuel.
This word can also mean a large fire.

What is it for

An open fire in a suburban area is usually lit for three reasons:

  • firstly, this is the usual disposal of unnecessary things and garbage;
  • secondly - for aesthetic purposes, that is, to simply sit by an open fire in the fresh air;
  • thirdly - for arrangement.

Of course, safety will come first and it doesn’t matter at all whether there are people around country houses made from block containers, brick or wood - there will always be material that poses a fire hazard.

Of course, if you cook barbecue, you will only use wood as fuel; it is also more likely that you will use wood for the aesthetic enjoyment of the fire. But when burning garbage, different materials can get there.

Therefore, you should make sure that explosive objects, for example, cans of paint and aerosols, do not get into the fire - the instructions warn about their explosiveness. You should also avoid burning rubber and plastic (bottles, bowls, toys, etc.) - the rubber will smoke, depositing flakes of soot on neighbors' property, and polymers release toxins when burned.

Arrangement options

  • First of all, to equip a place for a fire, you will have to find a good place, which should be located away from a residential building, utility buildings and the crown of spreading trees.
  • In addition, you should not use the lowest or highest points of your site- it’s best if you settle on something in between and the site turns out to be open and clearly visible.

Most often used for hearths round form, but this is by no means the main requirement - it could also be:

  • square;
  • rectangle;
  • and even a triangle.

The main thing is that its cross-section in the narrowest place where the firewood will burn is at least 40 cm. For a circle, a diameter of 80-100 cm is usually used, although this is not something mandatory.

Aboveground hearth

  • Typically done with decorative finishing. Although a metal rim can be inserted into the middle, its walls must be at least 1-1.5 mm, otherwise it will burn out. That is, a metal bowl will not work here.
  • You can also install a concrete circle in the center, which you will then finish paving slabs, only as an adhesive you will need special mixtures with fireclay additives.

  • You can also lay out the walls from fireclay (fireproof) bricks; ordinary clay with the addition of fireclay powder is used to bind it.
  • Or, instead of bricks, you can use granite cobblestones, which will be sufficiently firmly fixed in the ground or in concrete screed, and small gaps between them do not need to be sealed at all - this will not interfere with combustion.
  • The walls and the site itself can be finished with any facing materials that are not subject to melting and are not afraid of open fire.

The technological design of the recessed hearth, which you see in the photo above, is very similar - similar materials are used there, and the cross-section of the fire pit itself does not differ from the above-ground version. The main difference is the aesthetic perception of the object and personal preferences.

To set up a buried fire pit:

  • A hole is dug 30-40 cm deep and a cushion 15-20 cm high of fine crushed stone or granite screenings is poured into it (some use fine-grained expanded clay for this purpose).
  • The walls can be laid from refractory bricks, hewn or simply smooth granite, using clay with fireclay powder for binding.
  • You can also take a simpler route and put it in a hole concrete ring- the main thing is that the upper part of the walls is strictly horizontal. The bottom can be concreted.

The simplest hearth option

Do-it-yourself fireplace in the country - photo ideas for impeccable design

Every owner country house or the dacha was visited by the thought of arranging local area, beautiful and at the same time functional design. And one of the elements of such arrangement that no homeowner would refuse to see on their site is open hearth.

A place for cooking, gathering with family or warm friendly company, or maybe even solitude near a soothing and warming open fire.

There is nothing overly complicated about building an open fireplace in a country house with your own hands. The process is quite time-consuming and painstaking - but following our advice, recommendations and photos, you can build a fireplace in your dacha without any problems.

Options for constructing a fireplace

To build a fireplace, you can use a variety of materials: brick, large pebbles, boulders, different kinds natural stone, concrete blocks, paving slabs. The most common option is using the most suitable material for this, brick.

Both cinder block and ordinary brick. It should be remembered that for laying walls it is better to use the widest possible brick of large sizes, which can retain heat well inside the hearth. For this purpose, when laying out the hearth with perforated bricks, the holes in it should be placed towards the ground, and not parallel to it.

The fire pit can be set up either in a simpler way - by burying it in the ground, or in a more complex way - by building a full-fledged above-ground structure. If you decide to bury the fireplace in the ground, the main thing is not to overdo it: there should be a constant flow to the fireplace. fresh air to ensure the combustion process.

The amount of material needed to make a fireplace in a country house is determined by the size of the fireplace being built and its purpose. For example, if you plan to grill food on the fireplace, then the pit for the fireplace should be made deeper, which means that more material will be required for its construction.

Stages of arranging a fire pit

The first thing you need to do is decide on the location of the fireplace in the country house. The main rule when building a fire pit is safety. It must be located as far as possible from flammable materials, trees, dead wood, as well as residential and outbuildings. An elevated or low-lying part of the site with a risk of flooding is not the best choice of location for building a fireplace. Ideal option there will be a flat, spacious area with a good view.

The next stage is preparing the base. To avoid the problem of removing unburnt wood and coals in the future, it is advisable to line the bottom of the fire pit with stone, fill it with gravel, or at least place a sheet of thick iron at the base. Traditionally, the shape of the hearth pit is chosen to be round in size. The dug hole is filled mortar and then begin laying out the bricks.

Laying the base of the fire pit from bricks without mortar

The construction of a fireplace of this type should be treated carefully and carefully - after all, a slight inaccuracy in the layout will negatively affect the stability of the entire structure. The walls of the fireplace are laid out in a circle so that the ends touch. The fireplace wall must be monolithic on both the inner and outer sides.

After laying the first circle, lay out the second, and so on, until the walls of the fireplace reach the required height. When laying out the top row, a special solution is used, and the cracks between the bricks are covered cement mortar. Possible unevenness of the walls can be easily corrected by padding and leveling them.

The procedure is similar to that described above with the only difference: it is necessary to constantly coat the seams and be more careful about the evenness of the laying of bricks. The bonus of this approach is that there is no need to tamp down uneven rows after the walls of the fireplace are built.

How to design a fire pit in a country house (55 photos)

A fireplace can rightfully be called a symbol of a home in a country house. IN Lately the fireplace at the dacha has become not only a place where you can cook the next gastronomic masterpiece and have a great time free time for a pleasant evening with family and friends, it is also an original element of landscape design.

Aboveground location of the fire pit in the country

Before setting up a fire pit, you need to carefully consider the area where it will be located. The fireplace should be located away from garden trees, country house and other outbuildings. Optimal distance the distance to the house and buildings should be at least 3 meters, and at least 4 meters to the crowns of the nearest trees. Also, you should not design a place for a fire in a lowland or on a hill. It's better to choose golden mean.

After the location for the dacha hearth has been determined, the site should be prepared: remove debris, plant roots, level the surface of the site and mark the location for the hearth itself. As a rule, the hearth is made in a round shape, with a diameter of about a meter. It is necessary to remove a layer of turf from the intended area. This is necessary so that later the entire site can be laid out with paving slabs or stones. In the center of the site, the location of the hearth itself is marked. To decorate the fire pit, you can use an iron rim. In the place where it is planned to install the metal rim, remove a small layer of soil, level the bottom of the resulting depression and install the rim.

If the structure has very thin walls, it will not be able to provide the necessary strength during operation. Therefore, concrete blocks or stones are laid in several rows along the entire area of the outer wall. Paving slabs or granite cobblestones are also suitable for this. For masonry it is better to use a special masonry mortar. More suitable for laying natural stone clay mortar.

To prevent the fire pit from turning into a pond after heavy rain, it is necessary to cut out a roof for it. A suitable cut can be used as material sheet metal.

Recessed fire pit

You can also create a place for a fire in your dacha using a small dug pit. The depth of the dug pit should be approximately 30-40cm. The bottom of the dug pit is covered with a layer of fine gravel. In order for the fireplace to last longer, inner part the pits must be surrounded with a piece of sheet metal. The ring can also be built using separate blocks. The first layer of blocks is laid on gravel. The correct installation is checked by the building level. All irregularities are eliminated using rubber mallet. A special glue for laying hearths and fireplaces is applied to the upper surface of the first row, then the second row of blocks can be laid. Ready design they are covered with fine gravel, and the upper part of the hearth is decorated with a stone suitable for the decor of the landscape design.

Design of the area near the fireplace

In order to decorate the area near the fireplace, you can use pebbles, gravel or tiles for garden paths. If you expand the area near the fireplace, you will get an excellent area for a good rest. An interesting option are flat slabs irregular geometric shapes, which are laid out in a bizarre pattern. These wide slabs can easily accommodate chairs, benches, or other various garden furniture. An ideal option for arranging a fire pit in a country house would be a circular bench with backs. To give such a platform comfort and coziness, the platform can be decorated with rugs, and placed on the bench decorative pillows and blankets.

The same material that was used to decorate the hearth can be used to make a supporting wall; it will also serve as a backrest for the bench. In order to avoid having to go far for firewood, a special firewood shed is installed next to the fireplace, which is decorated in the same style as the hearth.

You can put it at the fire pit garden path, along which to install small Street lights. This will make the area cozy in the evening and create a special romantic atmosphere.

Often the area around the fire is made in the shape of the sun, and improvised sun rays are painted on the lining. It would be interesting to look at a summer cottage with a hearth made in the form of a lunar crater or fireplace, next to which you can install a small figurine of a guardian cricket.

Interesting idea designing a fire pit in the country house

Decorating a place near a fire in the country is not so difficult. The main conditions for work are the availability of all the necessary building materials, clear calculations, free time, imagination and a little creativity.

Fireplace in the country: what will we sit on?

Place by the fire: what should we sit on?

You have a place for a fire, but what next? Stand and watch it burn? No matter how it is, you did it in order to cook barbecue, fry bread, bake potatoes and just relax in the evening, and doing this while sitting is clearly more convenient than standing. How to arrange a place to sit around a fire and what can be used for this?

To begin with, you can take any chairs that can be used outdoors. This can be either simple camp chairs with which you go into the forest, or wooden or metal country outdoor furniture - the same chairs or large benches on which it is so comfortable to sit together. Rattan seats are also suitable.

Simple chairs to sit near the fire on the site

If you are a fan of the classics, why not build the usual pentagon from logs, as is often done in the forest? But here you can sand the logs and even varnish them and even attach a backrest to make it more comfortable to sit on.

A classic pentagon made of logs around a fireplace in a country house

And a stationary option - you can make seats around the fireplace in your summer cottage with your own hands from stone - from brick or any other stones that you have at your disposal. Tip: lay out the benches not in a square, but in a semicircle, as this looks more aesthetically attractive. And in order to sit softly and not cold, place sofa cushions on the seat itself and attach it to the back, if you have one there.

Semicircular stone bench near the fire

And finally, two ways to make a fireplace in your summer cottage with your own hands. To begin with, the most popular option for a fire pit is made of bricks. What do we need? bricks and cement.

There are several ways to build a fire pit out of bricks. The first option is the same way as a house is built, that is, stacking bricks one to the other, shifting each next row by half a brick - just lay out the walls of the fire pit at the required height. Some build directly from the ground, some first dig a hole in the ground, and as a result the fire pit is sunk into the ground. In this case, it can be flush with the ground, here it is better to lay out additional stones or tiles around the area at least a meter in diameter, or with the walls up - in this case the coals will not fall down. But here it is worth providing holes for air intake in the fire.

We build a fire house from bricks

The second way is to lay the bricks in a circle, installing them vertically or horizontally. If you want to make a low fireplace, one row of bricks laid out in a circle with vertical installation. If you want to make a large round hearth, you need to lay the bricks horizontally and do not forget about the holes through which air will enter the fire - in this case it will burn much better.

Do-it-yourself brick fireplace in your dacha

You can also show your imagination and create some unusual hearth, not round or square, but absolutely not symmetrical in shape. Moreover, here you can use not only bricks, but also any other stones - best natural, unprocessed.

Let's do non-standard place for a fire on the site

Hearth at the dacha under a cauldron

If you like to cook something in a cauldron over a fire, for example, real pilaf, stewed vegetables or meat, then before you start building the fireplace, you need to figure out how to then put the cauldron on it. The first option is to make a small fireplace out of stones, on which a large cauldron can be placed on top. If you need a larger place for the fire, make a metal structure that can be placed in the fire, and place a cauldron on top of it. Or you can make a fireplace out of an old one car disk. How to do this - read below, and the cauldron will stand on top without any problems.

Making a hearth in the country house for a barbecue

Fire pit: barbecue made from an old car rim

If you don't want to lay bricks, you can use a simple and proven method for making a fire pit yourself, which I already talked about earlier - using an old car wheel (stamping, not casting!). It's perfect for this - round shape, high walls, air intake holes and easy to install. You can either bury it in the ground, making a fire pit flush with the ground, or place it and cover it with bricks on top to give it a more attractive look.

Making a hearth from a car rim

By the way, from the same disk you can make not only a hearth, but also a barbecue - on steel legs, to make it more convenient to keep an eye on the kebabs being prepared, a grill (by adding a grate on top the right size), barbecue and much more.

And if, instead of a car disk, you find some other metal bowl or other container in your garage or basement, you can easily use it to make a fireplace in your summer cottage. By the way, an old steel basin will also work for this - who else still has one of these from Soviet times?

Fireplace: hearth in the country house photo ideas

So, we figured out how to make a fireplace with our own hands, what materials to use for this, how to arrange the area around it and what seats are suitable for such a relaxation. Let's now look at the photo - how other people did it, in order to borrow from there some of our favorite ideas that are already worth bringing to life on own plot.

Setting up a fire pit in a summer cottage

Many owners country houses and personal gardens are thinking about creating beautiful area rest with a fireplace. A fire pit will warm you up, create coziness, and even allow you to cook food over the fire. Making a fire pit in your country house with your own hands is quite possible. To do this, it is enough to have a vague understanding of construction and strictly adhere to a certain sequence of work.

Types of lesions

The most widespread the following types:

  1. Hearth in the pit
    To build such a fireplace, it is necessary to make a hole in the ground. To make the structure stronger, it is better to line the walls with brick. It is recommended to lay it vertically, i.e. with the side wall facing the fire. Please note that bricks take up additional space. Therefore, the pit should be made wider by the size of the brick belt. Around the fire pit you can line it with paving slabs. Tiles with chipped edges are also suitable for these purposes.

  2. Brick street hearth
    To build a fireplace out of brick, you will need fireproof bricks and mortar. Brick grill can be of any shape, but round hearths are the most popular. A fire grate is usually placed in the center of the structure. To construct this option, you will also need to dig a small hole.
  3. Concrete
    Alternatively, an outdoor fireplace can be made of concrete. For this you will need formwork. It can be made from available materials, for example, boards, plywood, etc. It is necessary to dig a hole of a certain size, install the formwork and pour the concrete mixture. Once the concrete gains the required strength, the formwork is removed. As you know, concrete does not have a very presentable appearance. Simple cladding will add aesthetics to the building. Marble or granite tiles look great. Also, chipped stones and bricks are excellent for cladding.

  4. Hearth made of natural stone
    Most often, pure granite and marble are used to make fireplaces. The advantages of this option include excellent appearance and durability. Significant disadvantage is high cost.

  5. Fire table
    Alternatively, a tabletop made of stone can be laid on top of a brick or concrete hearth. This design is called a fire table. A hole for the fire is made in the central part of the tabletop. Such an impromptu table with a barbecue is convenient for gatherings with family or friends.

  6. Outdoor fireplace made of reinforced concrete products
    If there is no opportunity or desire to tinker with concrete and masonry work, you can use a ready-made reinforced concrete flowerpot or flowerpot for a country fireplace. You can purchase such products at hardware store, which specializes in the sale of reinforced concrete products. The finished product can be dug into the ground or simply installed on the surface. The advantage of this option is mobility, because if necessary, the garden hearth can be easily moved from a flowerpot to another place.
    Round outdoor fireplaces can be made from well rings or rounded curbs. To construct this option, you need to purchase two rings for wells of different diameters. It is best to lay reinforced concrete products on a concrete platform. In this way, the strength of the structure can be ensured. The rings are fixed on the concrete platform using mortar. First, install a ring of a larger diameter. After this, a ring with a smaller diameter is installed inside. In this case, it is necessary to achieve an equal distance between the walls of the products. As a result, voids are obtained between the rings that fill concrete mixture, stones and cobblestones. If desired, the outer wall can be painted.

    For reference: the diameter of reinforced concrete rings varies from 0.7 to 2 meters, and their height is 0.1–1 meter.

  7. Fireplace in the garden made of metal
    You can make a simple metal hearth yourself; it is very reminiscent of a familiar barbecue. Forged fire bowls look a little more complex and aesthetically pleasing. But there are also more sophisticated designs - a fireball. It's kind of outdoor fireplace with a barbecue function, made in the form of a sphere.

When choosing a location for a fire pit, you must follow the following rules:

  • an open hearth should be located away from buildings;
  • when choosing a location, it is recommended to take into account the wind rose (this is necessary to ensure that smoke from the fire does not enter the living quarters);
  • there should be no dry vegetation near the fire;
  • in a dacha, an open hearth should be located away from tree branches and bushes;
  • the barbecue bowl must be placed in such a place that the distance from it to vegetation, fences and various buildings is at least 1.5 meters;
  • the depth of the fire pit must be at least 0.4 meters;
  • it is desirable that the diameter of the hearth be in the range of 1–1.5 meters;
  • the pit must be lined with stone or refractory brick;
  • It is not advisable to build fireplaces in lowlands and on hills; the most suitable for such a structure is flat terrain.

Simple DIY stone hearth

For those who are interested in how to make a hearth in a dacha with their own hands, we offer one of the most simple options setting up a fire pit. Below is detailed instructions on production with photos.

Every summer resident in spring and autumn must cut down trees, remove withered leaves and damaged plants. As a rule, all this garbage is burned in random places, creating fire pits that are unsafe for both the summer resident and those around him. In order to properly dispose of accumulated rubbish, it is advisable to arrange a separate place for making a fire.

The dacha hearth performs both a practical and decorative function. On the one hand, it will help get rid of garbage, on the other hand, it will decorate the area and become necessary element, adding a touch of harmony to the surrounding landscape.

Types of lesions

Country fire pits come in open, deep and closed type. You can buy them ready-made or make them yourself. Specialized companies offer models that run on solid fuel or gas, and also install a fireplace in a summer cottage and connect it to a gas main, if necessary.

It’s much more interesting to set up a fire pit with your own hands. Create unique design and decorating your dacha area with the flames of a fire is not difficult if you follow a few simple rules.

Selecting and preparing a place

First of all, the fire pit area must comply with fire safety standards. The future hearth is installed at a distance of at least 4 meters from trees and bushes. The distance from residential buildings and utility structures is 3-3.5 meters.

Do not locate the fire zone directly next to fences dividing land plots, as smoke from the fire will cause inconvenience to neighbors. Do not install the future fireplace on hills, on the windward side. And especially do not set up a place for an open fire near a warehouse of flammable substances, gas cylinders and household chemicals.

Fire pit and relaxation area

The outdoor fireplace should fit harmoniously into the design of the site, emphasizing the beauty and thoughtfulness of the country landscape. As a rule, there is a place for relaxation near the fireplace - small area, paved with refractory bricks, paving slabs or stone. Such a platform performs two functions:

  • prevents fire from spreading due to an accidental spark;
  • serves as an ideal place for a holiday for the whole family.

The area allocated for the fire pit should be prepared - cut off the top layer of soil to a depth of 30 cm, level and compact the area.

Arrangement of the hearth

The center of the resulting area is intended for live fire. This is where they begin to arrange a place for the flame.

  1. Dig a hole up to half a meter deep. The larger the diameter of the future hearth, the deeper the fire pit should be installed.
  2. The sides of the recess are sealed with refractory bricks, and the bottom is sprinkled with coarse crushed stone.
  3. Stones, paving slabs or fire-resistant bricks are placed on the prepared soil around the fireplace.
  4. A little to the side they prepare a place for firewood, brushwood, and coal.

Don't forget about fire-fighting devices and accessories. Keep a bucket of sand and a poker near the fireplace; if the space for an open fire is large, purchase a fire extinguisher.

Fire pit made from a barrel

One of the most economical ways to arrange a flame zone in a suburban area - using an old metal barrel as a primitive focus. To do this, prepare the site as indicated above. The bottom of the metal barrel is cut off and placed in a designated place. Gravel is poured inside (layer thickness is at least 10 cm). The space between the outer walls of the barrel and the inner boundaries of the pit is also filled with gravel.

If you choose a recessed type of fireplace, a bevel is made around the barrel towards the inside of the hearth. The backfill material is gravel or pebbles. After this, the bevels are tightly filled with concrete.

If the barrel serves as the basis for creating an open fireplace, its outer walls are lined with fireproof building material and secure concrete mortar. The finished hearth looks approximately the same as in the photo below.

Arrangement of a recreation area

Since one of the main functions of a country fireplace is decorative, try to make the place near the fire as comfortable and cozy as possible. As a rule, this territory is given the outline of a circle, so when arranging the site it is advisable to use outdoor furniture and decorative items of appropriate shapes. For example, in the recreation area you can install soft semicircular benches.

Place a small table near each seat - after all, the family gathers not only to look at the flames, but also to have dinner or drink tea.

If the hearth is made in the shape of a square, do not be lazy to choose the appropriate furniture. Incorporate solid wood chairs with clearly defined corners into the combustion area design.

The tranquil greenery of living plants will help emphasize the beauty of a bright flame. Perhaps a well-groomed lawn will serve as a frame for the fire.

If it is not possible to allocate space for a grass carpet, you can arrange a fire pit in a minimalist Japanese design. Several plants, skillfully planted near the hearth, will create right mood and set the tone for the entire composition.

Don't forget that open fire is also used for cooking. delicious dishes– from baked potatoes, familiar from childhood, to gourmet treats baked on the grill or barbecue. To surprise your guests with aromatic delicacies with a crispy crust, you only need fireproof dishes or a grill grate. And for preparing simple homemade food that is pleasant to enjoy in a narrow family circle, a pot on a tripod is suitable.

After finishing work, wait until evening and light the first fire in the fire pit. The result will exceed your expectations!

Good afternoon - we continue the series of articles on dacha ideas... The cycle includes ONLY THE MOST INTERESTING - and easy-to-implement ideas... Today we will MAKE A PLACE FOR FIRE in the country house or personal plot. Whole 7 ideas hearths - which you can SIMPLY and QUICKLY make yourself.

I will not only give you good ideas for a fireplace in a country house. I'll tell you in detail HOW You can implement - with your own hands - EVERY SUCH IDEA.

So, let's go...

The simplest idea

hearth in a pit.

Here's the easiest way to make a fire pit.

The essence of the work:

We make a depression in the ground - for the strength of the wall cover with bricks– laying it vertically – side wall to the hearth(as seen in the photo). It is natural that the hole needs to be dug wider than the planned fire area - since the bricks will take up a lot of space.

Along the edge – from above around the fire pit– can be covered with the same brick or paving slabs (this is where chipped pieces of tile left over from garden paths come in handy.

Or you can not deepen such a zone for the hearth very deep into the ground. And as we see in the photo below, you can do wide stone frame such an area for a fire - and use it as a relaxation area - arrange chairs, sofas, a table.

Idea two -

hearth made of stone.

Or we make a country fireplace out of stone. The essence of the work is simple masonry.

or from BRICK... or paving slabs...

For additional beauty (and functionality), you can place on such a brick hearth stone countertop with a square cut out to fit the shape of the hearth. To the edge such a makeshift table you can put a cup of coffee and be sure that it will not soon get cold on a cool August evening.

Or such a fireplace for country holiday You can order it from pure granite or marble (if you don’t mind the money) - it will truly last forever.

As a cheaper option OF THE SAME MODEL - you can cast this form from concrete and line it with large marble or granite tiles. It will also be beautiful and solid.

Idea three -

We make a round hearth out of stone.

Can I have one like this? rough stone hearth done in just a couple of minutes...

Let's just take it already ready-made iron (or reinforced concrete) hearth and cover it by hand with suitable chipped stones or bricks. The main thing is that the surface of the stones is flat enough so that such a structure holds well.

Or you can approach the task more seriously... lay out a STRONG ROUND FIREFIRE from stone.

AND THEN you can immediately foresee stone benches. Lay it out of the same stone - and also in a semicircle - closer to the cozy fire of the hearth.

With help foam seats And scattering of pillows such a stone bench can be quickly turn into a soft sofa– on which you can even lie down and have a nice dinner in the warmth of the dying coals

And in this hearth you can provide a device for barbecuing. Here's how it's done in the photo below.

In the photo above, most likely there is a special bracket-holder for the grill grate. But we can make the bracket ourselves. If you take a metal pipe, bend it in the shape of the letter L... and hang a grill on the upper bend on chains. Simple, fast - but the meaning is the same.

Idea four

Hearth at the dacha made from a flower bowl.

We go to the website of some reinforced concrete products (reinforced concrete products) plant in your area and look there such a product is like a flower girl.

Our ZhES workers love to plant flowers in such reinforced concrete flower beds, beautifying the areas of various administrative buildings.

Here's what they might look like - see photo below...

Hmm)), as we see, the first flower girl is very similar to the ready-made square hearth made of stone, which we discussed above. Here is a simple solution for the previous model - you don’t even need to lay anything out of brick - BUYED AND PUT.

As we see in the photo below, an ordinary round (or any shaped) flower girl can serve us faithful service at the dacha plot.

You can simply put it on the ground...(photo below)

Or more….

Is it possible to have a reinforced concrete fireplace like this in a dacha? make it a little higher- for this it will be necessary to have concrete products at the same plant buy a RING FOR A WELL(small diameter) and the height we need.

The area around such a laconic country hearth can be decorate beautifully. I will write a separate article about such ennoblement - and then a link to it will appear here.

And... since we mentioned well rings... Here's another great idea for you.

Idea five - a fireplace in a dacha made from rings for a well.

I spotted this idea for a hearth on one bourgeois website... there, however, it is made not from rings for a well, but from rings for trees (but we will work with domestic materials - we have no others.)

Here I wrote everything in the comments to these photographs of the hearth.

And here is the asking price – on the website of one manufacturer of such rings I copied a sign... as you can see, such a fireplace can be made from well rings for very little money(prices as of March 2014)

And here's another... On one site, I think in Macedonia, I came across this design fantasy...

Looks beautiful...the firewood is picturesquely stacked...

But I can’t figure out how to bring such a model to life WITHOUT preventing these external woodpile from catching fire due to the internal high-temperature heat of our hearth.

Probably worth a try make from rings for a well - two different diameters - one to one - and there is a void between them ( but without pebbles and other backfill) so that the heat from the inner ring is not transferred to the outer ring... Then perhaps such a design can be brought to life.

Hmm... or maybe you can make a heat-insulating backfill from expanded clay balls - that would probably be good too.

Iron fireplace model

Here is a simpler model of a hearth... which you can WELD BY YOURSELF (in the sense of a welding machine).

if you have metal sheets, metal cutter and welding machine(or a friend who works at a metal products factory) - then you can always make such a welded hearth structure - yourself with your own hands.

Here in the photo above - you can clearly see from what simple details consists of such an iron hearth for fire.

Or…

you can find these round ones on sale potbellied lesions on crooked legs... By the way, here we are also admiring the luxurious canopy against the wall of the house.

And then there are these iron fireplaces.

Idea seventh – HEATH FROM LONG.

If Papa Carlo got a non-speaking log, he could make an excellent fireplace for himself and cook a nutritious onion stew on it.

And it’s such a simple method... you don’t need a pot or a holder for a pot... An ordinary frying pan and a “friendship” chainsaw.

And indeed, really convenient idea hearth - when the dacha is over gas cylinder and there is no electric stove - but I really want to eat something hot...

Well... got the idea?

And then... Fire is what causes in us the best primitive instincts

Be together.

Have warmth in your heart.

Look for warm words for others and warm thoughts for yourself.

Have a nice primitive gathering by the fire in your dacha.

And I will find for you many more cozy and easy-to-implement ideas for your summer cottage

It’s already five minutes to midnight - it’s time for me to extinguish the fire of my thoughts... otherwise my fingers are already tripping over the keyboard

Your Olga Klishevskaya.
