Massage table normal veins. Optimal dimensions of a massage table. Shapes of massage tables

The art of massage has existed and developed for a long time. Highlight different kinds this manipulation, which brings not only benefit, but also pleasure. To implement some types, you need to use special devices and tools, including a massage table. In fact, there is nothing difficult about making it yourself.

To create the most comfortable massage table, with your own hands, it is recommended to follow the instructions below:

How to make a massage table?

Manufacturing massage tables involves a number of stages:

  1. Creating a countertop that is most conveniently made based on a pair plywood sheets(each of them must have dimensions of 600x900 mm). Cut out the blanks using an electric jigsaw to make the task easier. Clean the end elements with sandpaper or a grinder.
  2. On one part, prepared in advance, outline the contours and make an oval-shaped hole.
  3. Make a frame for the future table by cutting 4 blanks (length - 900 m) and 4 more products (length 560 mm) from wooden blocks. Combine the parts so that you end up with a pair of frames with parameters of 600 by 900 millimeters, if you take measurements along the outer part of the edge. Recesses for fasteners should have a depth of two (maximum three) millimeters. You need to worry about doing them in advance, otherwise there is a high risk that the timber will crack. After assembling the frame, attach the covers to it using either nails or self-tapping screws.
  4. Upholster both parts of the tabletop. This will allow us to prepare furniture that is as comfortable as possible for the client. First you need to apply a layer of adhesive to the workpiece, and then lay a couple of foam plates on top. Once the glue has dried a little, trim off the excess material and cut out an oval for the head. When this work is completed, lay the leather covering on the foam rubber and stretch it well, folding the edges over the frame. Attach the material to the beam using a stapler. Form corners while trying to avoid creases. Be sure to leave room for loops.
  5. When making furniture, don't forget about the legs. When performing this work, you will need two timbers, from which you should cut a couple of sets of blanks, and each set should include 6 timbers. Assemble the first two supports and connect the individual components using self-tapping screws. Remove the bottom ends of the workpieces using a circular saw or electric jigsaw. Connect the other pair of supports by making indentations with a suitable tool and assisting with a chisel. Cut the end elements located at the top at an angle of 30º. Connect the pairs of supports with special loops (they can be fixed using self-tapping screws). If you follow all the rules, you will end up with several sets of legs that are identical to each other.

If you do not understand any points, then you can find drawings on this site, and then make or repair the furniture that massage therapists need to perform their duties. Beginners should give preference to more simple models, easy to perform.

How to assemble a folding massage table with your own hands?

If you decide to make the chosen option, mark lines on the inside of the base for installing loops. Attach the fasteners to the folding massage table using self-tapping screws, combining the supports and frames. Screw it in fastener into the hole made earlier. Make sure there are no distortions, and then install the side screws. Connect the two halves of the furniture (unless we are talking about making a three-section table out of wood). Screw the hinges using self-zeros, due to which both parts will fold together without much difficulty.

The graphic diagram will be useful to a person who makes furniture with his own hands. If you consider yourself an experienced craftsman, you can create a hand massage table with adjustable legs or repair massage tables.
The task seems overwhelming, then you can go to a website that sells specialized products and choose a portable massage table. It is worth getting information from consultants about how to choose a massage table.

For effective massage, knowledge and skillful hands not enough. Much depends on the right massage table. Regular table or a couch can of course be used for massage, but a specialized massage table is ideal for this. Many years of engineering work and serious clinical trials have made modern massage tables almost ideal:

  • from an ergonomic point of view,
  • achieving maximum relaxation in the person being massaged,
  • the effect produced during the massage.

There are the following parameters that you need to pay attention to when choosing a massage table.

Table elements

A standard massage table consists of a frame, tabletop, headrest, legs and additional elements.

The frame is made from:

  • Become . Such models are very durable, durable and have a long service life.
  • Trees. These models are environmentally friendly, reliable and stylish.
  • Aluminum These are often portable models of massage tables due to the lightness of the frame. They are reliable, resistant to moisture and mechanical damage.

The standard table top has rectangular shape with a possible narrowing in the middle. Massage tables can have up to three sections. The number of sections is selected based on the procedures and types of massage that will be performed on the table.

  1. Single section massage table
  2. A single-section massage table with a monolithic couch can be used for any type of massage. To increase operational capabilities, additional accessories are used. It has an increased load capacity of up to 2 tons. The section is height adjustable.

The two-section table has large functionality. You can massage it in any position - classic on the stomach, reclining, and even add a lymphatic drainage procedure. The first section is motionless. The second section is lifted manually, using a pneumatic spring or an electric motor. Useful for cosmetologists, osteopaths and spa specialists.

The most functional model of all. All three parts of the table can work independently of each other, rise or fall. On this massage table you can perform any procedures related to massage, cosmetology, reflexology, acupuncture and spinal stretching.

Headrests can be stationary or removable, which are attached on one side or at any end. They can have a standard or anatomical shape, which has small cutouts that allow you to rest your head so that your face does not touch the upholstery. When not needed, the cutouts are closed with special plugs. The cutouts are mainly used for collar massage, allowing the person being massaged to completely relax.

The number of legs varies from 4 to 8, where the first 4 are main, and the rest are auxiliary and are used for greater reliability.

TO additional elements relate:

  • side armrests,
  • hand shelves,
  • U-shaped pillows for adjusting the position of the neck and shoulders,
  • cushion for the back, neck, knees or feet,
  • shelves for towels, sheets, oils and other massage accessories.

Dimensions

For a comfortable massage for people of different sizes, it is better to choose a wide table, but narrow enough for free access to any part of the body of the person being massaged. In order to choose a suitable massage table in size, you need to come very close to the table and turn around in the lumbar area. In this position, the massage therapist’s shoulders should be aligned parallel to the hips of the person being massaged, and the arms should be parallel to the spine.

Width

The most popular tables are 70 or 76 cm wide. Narrower models are suitable for short people who are uncomfortable working at a massage table standard size. Interesting option models tapering in the middle in the shape of an hourglass. This design will allow you to approach the person being massaged from the side much closer and at the same time will not cause him discomfort due to the fairly wide ends of the table.

Length

The standard length of the massage table is 185 cm. Suitable for most people. Therefore, it is recommended for a beauty salon to use just such a table. Models with special hole for the face they extend the size of any table by 20 cm. Therefore, a standard massage table of this type will be 205 cm long.

What else is important to know about choosing the length of the massage table? A table that is too short will create discomfort for the person being massaged, but will allow you to save on the width of the table, which will be convenient for an energetic and active massage therapist. Too long table It will only complicate the massage process.

Adjustable height

Most modern massage tables have height adjustment. For comfortable work, it is better to choose a table with adjustment within 60-80 cm. It is also important to pay attention to the time to adjust the desired height. This process should not exceed 3 minutes. There are 2 types of mechanisms for height adjustment:

  • Telescopic leg adjustment system. It can be found in aluminum massage tables. Externally, this mechanism is similar to the devices used in medical crutches. Changing the height with this mechanism is very simple, just press a special button and fix the table at the desired height.
  • Screw-down buttons on legs. With this mechanism, setting the desired height takes a little longer than the previous one, but no more than two minutes. Depending on the price, a massage table can have either one or 2 buttons, which must first be unscrewed to set the desired height, and then screwed in to secure the height.

Weight

It is best to choose the weight of the massage table based on its future use. It is better for a massage therapist to go for a massage session together with his table based on a weight of 10 to 20 kg. It is also desirable that the table design be foldable for more convenient transportation. Such models are more expensive than regular wooden tables because they are made of aluminum. If the table is too heavy for the user, you can use a special stroller for transportation. If the table is not planned to be carried and transported, then the weight of the table does not play a special role.

Payload

The weight that the massage table can support on the surface and on individual parts must be selected several times over. The maximum weight of the massaged person combined with the efforts of the massage therapist should not exceed 1/3 of the payload value. Otherwise, quick breakdown of the table is guaranteed.

Filler thickness

The thicker the filler, the longer the massage table will last and will not become thinner over time. This indicator also affects the level of comfort of the person being massaged during the massage. Polyurethane, foam rubber or mixed type 5-7 cm thick. Any option must be durable and have good shock-absorbing properties.

Upholstery of a massage table

Today, upholstery does not play a role when choosing a massage table. Many people prefer to use separate, replaceable covers that can be easily removed and washed. Typically, the upholstery for a massage table is made of artificial leather:

  1. Vinyl upholstery.
  2. A very popular and frequently used synthetic leatherette. In terms of its qualities, it is strong, durable, resistant to water and oils. Its main disadvantage is that frequent use wipes quickly.

  3. Polyurethane upholstery.
  4. In terms of characteristics and properties, more than others synthetic materials looks like real leather. It feels soft and pleasant to the touch. The quality is very durable. The downside is low resistance to water and oils, which, if they get on the upholstery, will quickly damage it.

  5. Arpatek.
  6. This is premium material. Used for upholstery of expensive models. Very hygienic. Just like natural leather, it cannot accumulate pathogenic surfaces on its surface, because... the structure of the material is not porous and has no microcracks.

The basic requirements for coating materials are that they must be:

  • durable,
  • resistant to abrasion and mechanical damage,
  • pleasant to the touch,
  • beautiful,
  • not requiring special care.

Drive unit

The presence of a pneumatic spring or hydraulic drive will simplify setting up the table and help you change the height of the table directly during the massage, which will increase the wear life of the legs. When choosing a massage table, it is important to consider that an electric motor increases the cost of the table by 50%.

Cable system

It is recommended to choose portable massage tables with this system, which is also known as tensor cable system. It is needed to give greater stability and reliability to folding massage tables, fixing the legs and preventing possible movement of the table forward or backward.

Guarantee

When purchasing a massage table, make sure you get a brand name guarantee for a period for at least 1 year. Some manufacturers provide a guarantee up to 36 months.

It is important to know that massage tables, as a rule, are not subject to exchange or return. An exchange of a model or a refund of money paid is possible only within 14 days from the date of purchase of the product and only if the examination proves that the manufacturer or seller is to blame for the defects.

Features of choosing a folding portable table

The portable table is intended for visiting specialists (massage therapists, cosmetologists, chiropractors, osteopaths, hair removal specialists), because an unprofessional surface is contraindicated for massage. Not only will the massage be ineffective, but problems with the spine and lower back of the person being massaged may also arise. Portable tables fold into a suitcase, are conveniently carried and placed in the trunk of a car.

When choosing a folding table, you need to make sure:

  • that it simply unfolds into a working position;
  • stable, motionless and reliable in the open position;
  • withstands the necessary load (weight of the person being massaged and the massage therapist);
  • easily height adjustable from 65 to 90 cm;
  • width table no less 60 cm. and no more 70 cm.
  • height table is 180-190 cm.
  • easy to transport.

Weight

Weight folding table should not exceed 15 kg. The weight of a folding massage table depends on the material from which it is made:

  • A carbon fiber table weighs approx. 7 kg.
  • The duralumin table weighs approx. 10 kg.
  • The steel table weighs approx. 20 kg.

Additional accessories

Depending on the configuration, the folding table may have additional accessories:

  • headrest (should be easily attached to the table and the angle of inclination can be adjusted);
  • armrests;
  • roller;
  • face holes;
  • protective caps on the legs (to prevent possible damage flooring).

Sections in folding massage tables

U portable massage tables can have no more than two sections: main And lifting. The table folding parts and accessories are not sections.

Which massage table is better? Only a massage specialist or researchers at the rehabilitation center for exercise therapy and massage can answer this question correctly.

Elena, massage therapist at the Valeria center. Work experience 15 years.

“A professional massage table should be convenient not only for the specialist, but also for the client, so you need to have a good understanding of what types of massage will be practiced and the needs of the client: type of massage (children, adults, etc.), diseases, duration of the procedure. The first thing you need to pay attention to is:

  • Strength and stability of the structure (portable tables are convenient, but their weight should not be too light);
  • Weight and dimensions (it is important to understand whether the table will move and move, the optimal weight is 13-15 kg);
  • Comfortable rest for the arms (the armrests should be rotated and moved forward of the table - it is the armrests that create the image and feeling of comfort)
  • Unimportant parameters: table bendability (it’s easier to use bolsters and pillows)”;
  • In and d massage (for classic massage, 1-2 section massage couches with a medium-hard surface are suitable).

Height, width and length of the massage table

  • Height. Usually they choose from 50 to 80 cm according to their height. So for a height of 170-180 cm, a model with a height of 70-80 cm is suitable. Roughly speaking, subtract 100 cm from the height and get the desired height of the couch. You can immediately order a model of the required dimensions and dimensions from the manufacturer, or you can actually file the legs.

According to research by Professor of the Department of Exercise Therapy, Massage and Rehabilitation Biryukov A.A. and Savina D.N. The height of the massage table should be at the level of the phalangeal or finger point, and the tilt of the body should not exceed 15-20 cm - this requires the correct width - 55-65 cm.

In modern models, you can change the height - this function most likely will not be useful, because it can only be changed before the massage. It is better to immediately select a table that suits the height of the massage therapist. Another question is, if specialists can quit, then height adjustment is a necessary parameter.

  • Width. In order not to reach for the client and not overstrain your back, it is better to choose a table no more than 70 cm wide. But if the massage table is intended for athletes, it can be a little wider - since the client’s build must also be taken into account. Optimal width from 55 to 65 cm. The picture clearly shows the working position relative to the table.
  • D Lina. From 170 to 190 cm – You can’t go wrong if you choose a length of 2 meters with a headrest. In general, massage tables with headrests are more versatile because they fold smaller. It’s great if you can raise the level of the headrest higher than the table, this creates comfort for women with large breasts and large clients.

Purpose of the massage table and types

When choosing, it is better to immediately decide on the purpose and type of massage couch. They are mainly divided into stationary and portable and differ in the presence or absence additional options and functions (headrest, armrests, height adjustment, bendability, with additional functions such as the electric drive and the material from which the frame and upholstery are made). By and large, the simplest, durable design correctly selected in height, width and length will completely satisfy almost any client; if you need to create an image, then you can choose models with bells and whistles. The feeling of greater comfort is created primarily by the armrests and the adjustable headrest.

  • P A portable table is necessary for massage therapists working at home. A folding massage table is convenient at home when clients sometimes come to the house, and at other times it can be folded and put away. This is especially true for osteopaths who often conduct consultations at home. It’s convenient when it has wheels - suddenly you want to put it in another place in the room.
  • A professional massage table should be comfortable for the client and the massage therapist. In a salon or massage center it can be stationary - but models with wheels are convenient in any case, as they make it easier to move.
  • M Assemblage tables with electric drives weigh a lot, so you need to purchase them somewhere where they can be placed permanently, although some models have wheels.

An electric massage table is best if the motor is quiet and moves up and down quickly.

  • D a wooden massage table can last as long as with metal frame, it is important that there are no plastic parts in it.

Accessories for massage couches: which ones to choose?

  • P The sheets can be either disposable or creating a massage effect - terry. It is more convenient to buy sheets in a roll.

When choosing disposable sheets for massage, you need to consider what additional products are used during massage. So, there are oil-waterproof sheets made of laminated spunbond; if there are high requirements for cleanliness, it is better to use SMS fabric made of composite, it has high antibacterial properties (used in the production of diapers).

  • WITH device for a massage table. This accessory must meet two basic requirements - easy to wash and have wheels.
  • The cover can be either disposable or reusable, but it is most convenient to have an elastic band with fasteners.
  • Va It is better to purchase a massage table face together with the table.

A properly selected table is a massage therapist’s working tool. Professional design will provide comfort to the patient and ease of work for the technician. The selection criteria apply not only to functional features device, but also to its mobility.

Types of massage tables

Among the variety of types and models, massage tables are usually divided into stationary and folding (portable).

Stationary. This type of construction has sufficient dimensions, is heavy and difficult to carry. This explains their use in specialized treatment rooms, inpatient departments, and beauty salons.

Typically, this option is equipped with a movable headrest, which improves the position of the neck and head, which has a positive effect on the quality of the area being worked. Tables are made from hard wood and high-strength steel.

The quality of the design and functionality make them quite expensive.

Used by massage therapists at home or to work on-site with a client. They are distinguished by their compact size, lightness, and ability to fold.

When folded, the portable table fits into the trunk of a car, weighing up to 20 kg. The legs of the device are easily adjustable, which allows the massage therapist to install the structure on an uneven surface.

Thanks to the light and inexpensive materials, the folding model is popular.

Massage couch. This is a simplified type of portable device. Couches are available without additional devices, not height adjustable. But there are models of couches that fold in half and have a hole for the face.

A massage table used for all kinds of massage: cosmetic, therapeutic, restorative, training, using spa products. Necessary conditions for carrying out the procedure on a specialized device:

  • Air temperature 15-45 C
  • Relative humidity at a temperature of 25 C no more than 80%

Before use, adjust the legs of the product so that the surface is in a horizontal position at the required height. Depending on the type of massage, the headrest is installed at the desired angle.

If the design includes armrests, their adjustment is carried out after placing the patient on the surface. During a massage session, for the convenience of work and the comfort of the patient, the master changes the location of the headrest and armrests.

After the procedure, the massage therapist lowers the moving parts of the tabletop to their original position, which allows the patient to rise freely.

Characteristics of massage tables

When choosing a massage table, you should pay attention to its parameters.

Width ranges from 50 to 80 cm. For ease of use, the width should be sufficient; according to the standard, it is 70-76 cm. If the tabletop is too wide, the massage therapist will have to stretch, which will affect hand fatigue and the quality of the procedure.

Narrow models are equipped with additional armrests that can be lowered or raised at the request of the client.

Length table top is 184-220 cm. Optimal is 185 cm. The patient must fit in full height, the head and limbs should not hang down. Modern models tend to “adjust” to the client’s height, while the width does not change.

Height design is an important parameter on which the quality of the master’s work depends. The legs are adjustable to a height of 55 to 85 cm. Thanks to this, the massage therapist chooses the required position for work.

There are 3 types of leg adjustment mechanism:

  • telescopic legs are installed on products with a metal frame and are adjusted by pressing the lock button
  • Screw-in legs are installed on models with a wooden frame
  • hydraulic system adjustments are equipped with dimensional stationary structures

Shapes of massage tables:

  • rectangular
  • hourglass

Recesses on the sides allow you to get closer to the client.

A proper massage table has a movable headrest or a hole for the face, since lying with the head turned to the side for a long time causes discomfort to the patient and affects the quality of the procedure.

The headrest is adjustable in angle, fixing the head in the desired position.

Depending on the complexity of the design, massage tables are available in 1, 2, or 3 sections.

  • 1-section has no moving parts. This is a simplified version, sometimes available with a hole for the face.
  • 2-section includes a movable leg part or headrest. When raising the leg part of the table, the patient lying on his back is provided with the desired position for kneading the lower extremities.
  • It is equipped with a movable headrest and divides the tabletop into 2 zones. Sometimes such tables are called 7-section tables, thanks to 4 additional hand rests.

These devices are equipped with an electric motor that allows you to adjust the necessary sections during operation:

  • When the head is raised, the client is provided with a “half-sitting” position
  • Raised foot section secures feet in drainage position
  • Midsection lift is used to stretch the spinal region
  • By raising the foot and middle sections after securing the legs, the function of stretching and drainage is ensured

Such designs are the most convenient, but their price is much higher.

Before choosing a table, you need to decide what type of massage the master works with. For the classic procedure, a 1 or 2-section device is suitable.

If the procedure is performed on complex parts of the body (on the spine or cervical region), an option with extended functionality would be appropriate.

Standard massage tables can withstand weights of up to 200 kg. The product should be handled with care. Sharp jumping and jumping after six months will loosen the legs, which will subsequently lead to breakage of the elements.

Movement

Stationary models with a hydraulic system are quite heavy. If you need to move them frequently, it is better to purchase structures on wheels.

Accessories

In medical offices, disposable paper towels are used during work. A special holder for paper rolls is attached to the rear of the frame. Facial pillows help you find a comfortable position for a long time.

Massage rollers are used to give the necessary fixation to parts of the body. Stands for aromatic oils conveniently used when performing oriental massage.

IN Lately Folding massage tables are in demand. The portable design is convenient during the assembly process and can be easily carried by the technician during on-site customer service. The folding model is not inferior in functionality to the stationary one:

  • can withstand a weight of at least 200 kg
  • The aluminum support is strong and reliable during operation and is not subject to corrosion.
  • wooden support is stable and environmentally friendly
  • the thin coating lightens the weight of the structure and has the necessary softness-hardness ratio
  • Folds up like a suitcase, making it easy to transport the product
  • installs anywhere
  • height adjustable
  • sections of the head and back change at the desired angle
  • the headrest with a hole for the face and a plug is removable
  • equipped with armrests
  • massage rollers are included with some models
  • have a warranty, the duration of which varies depending on the model

The main advantage of folding massage tables is cost. The price of such products is two times lower than couches with two sections and transformers.

IN medical salons and offices with a large number of patients the best option– stationary table:

  • withstands static loads of up to 1000 kg, taking into account the pressure of the master during operation
  • the number of sections reaches up to 10, making the design the most ergonomic
  • presence of a cabinet for storing accessories
  • regulated automatic mechanism using a foot pedal, increasing the wear life of the legs
  • used to provide several services (massage, lymphatic drainage, reflexology)
  • Many design options allow you to choose a model for any interior

For use in swimming pools, baths and saunas, a take-out model made entirely of bamboo has been released. This table is suitable for both dry and wet types of massage.

Specialized clinics can purchase models of any level: for pregnant women, children and overweight people.

Folding:

  • Metal cable frames are not stable under load. If the weight moves closer to the end, the moving sections may fold in half
  • Cables stretched around the perimeter of the base interfere with the comfortable placement of the massage therapist’s legs when working
  • A face grommet without a plug may cause discomfort to the patient.
  • Additional movable sections for arms and legs weigh down the structure and reduce stability
  • Couches weighing over 20 kg are too heavy to transport, and a weight below 12 kg indicates unreliability and danger when used.

  • Widths greater than 70 cm and lengths greater than 180 cm make it difficult to carry the product
  • Cheap upholstery often causes trouble. Lying on cheap leatherette, the client sweats or, on the contrary, freezes.
  • Adjustable legs with additional knots are not reliable. They quickly become loose and sometimes break. It is better to adjust the height once, sawing off the extra centimeters.
  • A serious drawback is the unreliable design. For rare home procedures, this option will do. But with intensive work, after just a few months it becomes loose and unstable.

Stationary:

  • Lack of lifting mechanism on some devices
  • Lift without electric motor. The device is raised and lowered using a pedal, which is not always convenient to do during operation
  • Some models are equipped with a Z-shaped frame, which, when lifted upward, moves away from the massage therapist and vice versa. This is not very convenient during work. In addition, when the center of gravity of a table with a Z-shaped frame shifts, one edge becomes loose and the device can tip over
  • The lack of wheels on some models makes them difficult to move

For medical centers With the daily flow of patients, it is recommended to purchase both options.

How to choose a massage table

The main criteria for choosing a table are performance and technical characteristics. They look similar to each other, but when choosing a massage table you should pay attention to certain points:

  • Decide on the purpose of the purchase. For infrequent home use or for on-site practices, a folding version is suitable.

When working in a medical office, it is better to pay attention to stationary device with advanced functionality.

  • The surface upholstery material is selected from eco-friendly soft fabric or cotton-based leather, without noticeable folds or folds. It is more pleasant for the patient to lie on such a covering than on a surface with hard bulges.
  • The filler consists of synthetic foam. The lighter the filler, the more it bends under the client’s body. It is better to choose an option with a semi-rigid surface.

Additional bedding is available for sensitive skin of patients.

  • Stationary models are heavy; the couch is mounted on a durable steel or wooden structure. There are also combined frames that combine metal and wood.

Folding tables, due to their lightness, do not always have a strong frame. At the time of buying mobile device It is worth paying attention to its support; the frame should not sway or creak.

  • Please note the manufacturer. On the Russian market, low-quality Chinese models are often passed off as Italian or Japanese.
  • Availability of a certificate for a medical device.

A good folding massage table should have the following characteristics:

  • Not wide bed
  • Metal carcass
  • Non-height adjustable legs
  • Expensive coverage
  • Face hole with plug
  • No extra sections
  • Includes case

If the work is carried out in an office or salon, without visiting clients, it is better to choose a multi-section stationary device with an electric motor and additional accessories.

When choosing a stationary desk, consider the following factors:

  • Not wide couch
  • Electric X-frame
  • Mandatory head section with tilt adjustment
  • Leather cover
  • Wheels for movement
  • Paper sheet holder

Multi-section devices are not popular among massage therapists. They are expensive and rarely involve all the moving parts. Some arm rests sometimes even get in the way.

How to use

Anything sporty or medical equipment needs to correct use and care.

  • Temperature and humidity. It doesn’t matter what material the table is made of - a wooden or metal frame, it can be used in a room with a temperature no higher than 50 and no lower than 5 degrees.

A negative temperature will damage the product in six months. High humidity will negatively affect the support and lead to corrosion metal elements designs.

It is acceptable to use to create a comfortable atmosphere.

  • Mounting and folding the device carried out according to the instructions.

For this:

  1. Every time check the strength of the cables and fastenings
  2. Choose a flat and hard surface so that the legs are at the same level
  3. When folded, “hide” the table in soft case, this will protect the product from contamination and damage

During installation, the legs of the structure should not be exposed to more than two-centimeter differences in the floor covering. Before buying a table, you should decide on the load range.

To do this, the maximum possible weight of the client and the pressure exerted by the master during the procedure are calculated.

During operation:

  1. Do not create double load.
  2. Do not allow the client to stand on the couch with their feet.
  3. You need to lie down and get up carefully, without jerking.
  4. After each session, be sure to change the disposable sheet and wipe the surface with a soft sponge and cleaning agent. Allow the countertop to dry before starting the next procedure. Unplug electric motors before cleaning.
  5. Once every three months, spend technical inspection products.
  6. A model equipped with electrical equipment must not be left turned on after use.
  7. Before connecting to the network, make sure that the voltage in the outlet meets the requirements specified in the instructions.

Compliance with the operating rules will allow the product to last longer and maintain its original quality.

The warranty for medical equipment is provided by the manufacturer. Typically it is 36 months from the date of sale.

If malfunctions occur in the operation of the equipment before the expiration warranty period, the manufacturer will replace parts or exchange products free of charge.

  • Heated massage products have a warranty from the manufacturer of the infrared tape.
  • After the warranty period expires, repairs to the massage device are carried out at the buyer’s expense.
  • The massage table can only be accepted for repair in its original packaging and with a warranty card.
  • Return Money or exchange is possible no later than 14 days from the date of purchase of the goods.
  • The warranty does not cover soft parts, leatherette surfaces, electrical plugs or cords.
  • If you attempt to repair the product yourself, the warranty will be void.
  • Delivery of the product for repair or replacement with a new one is made by the buyer.

Malfunctions and repairs

Modern countertops are comfortable thanks to soft upholstery. But due to the influx of clients and the use of massage oils and creams, the upholstery deteriorates, the filling wears out and sagging.

Re-upholstering will help solve the problem. You can reupholster furniture at a specialized agency, or you can do it yourself.

For this you will need:

  1. filler (foam rubber or other suitable composition)

How long has the art of massage existed? Probably, back in the Stone Age, some healer in a fox skin (earned it!) kneaded the backs of his fellow tribesmen. Have you also mastered basic manipulations and even received your massage therapist qualifications? It's time to go out new level, Earn Money! It is true that patients of the twenty-first century want to undergo procedures in comfortable conditions. It’s too early for a beginner to buy expensive equipment, but making a massage table with your own hands is just right. It is better if it is foldable: most sufferers will have to go to their homes.

We offer instructions for making such a massage table

  • The main requirement for a massage table is that a person of any size should be able to easily sit on it. The massage therapist also needs free “access to the body” so that the corners of the structure do not rest against his stomach when working.
  • The massage table must be strong and withstand a minimum load of up to 250 kg. Specialists know what efforts must be made for the treatment to be effective - the weak design will not withstand a couple of sessions. By the way, patient safety should also be remembered. The table frame is usually made of lightweight metal or hardwood. The average weight of the product is about 15-20 kg.
  • The stock must be ergonomic. If the patient is in an uncomfortable position and tense, then the procedures will not be of much use. Women still often, instead of relaxing, think about how not to ruin their makeup. Therefore, a cutout for the face in this situation is not a whim, but an urgent necessity.
  • The quality of the filler is of great importance. The best option in our case we will use high-density foam rubber or polyurethane. Mixed filler gives good results.

Organizational stage of work

The model you see in the picture seems complicated at first glance. In fact, the design is simple, reliable, and also easily folds and fits in the trunk of a car.

Instructions for making a massage table

Assembling the massage table top

We will begin to solve the problem of how to make a massage table with our own hands by making the tabletop. We mark segments measuring 600x900 mm on two pieces of plywood. We cut out the blanks with a jigsaw. We clean the ends with emery cloth wrapped around a wooden block of a suitable shape. If there Sander, better.

On one of the blanks we draw and cut out an oval hole for the face, measuring 180x110 mm. The curves can be drawn out using a plate, a pan lid - whatever the radius is suitable.

Drawings of two halves of the tabletop

Next comes the frame for the tabletop. We cut out four sections of 900 mm in length from a 20x50 mm timber, and four sections of 560 mm in length. We connect the blanks with self-tapping screws 45 mm long so that we get two frames with dimensions of 600 by 900 mm along the outer edge. Holes for fasteners with a depth of 2-3 mm should be drilled in advance, otherwise the timber under the screws may crack. Having assembled the frames, we screw the covers to them using nails or self-tapping screws 20 mm long.

Upholstery of table top halves

Now we will think about how to make the massage table comfortable for the patient. Although the Japanese say that a bed made of pure gold will not help a patient, this proverb is unfair in relation to our product. So, apply a layer of glue to the tabletop and place two sheets of foam rubber on top. We wait until the glue dries and trim off the excess foam along the edges. Carefully cut out an oval for the face.

Table top upholstery

Now we lay artificial leather on the foam rubber. While stretching the material, we wrap the edges over the frame. We aim the stapler at the beam, first at the long sides, then at the short ones, keeping a step of 10 mm. After this, we form the corners, trying to avoid noticeable folds. On one of the short sides we leave room for loops.

Making table legs

From timber 20x50 mm, according to the drawings, we cut two sets of blanks, six bars in each.

We assemble the first two supports (parts A). To do this, we fasten the three parts together with an overlap using self-tapping screws. We cut the lower ends of the long pieces at an angle of 41 degrees. If it is not possible to maintain such precision, we cut it at a more obtuse angle, as long as the cut on all four legs is the same. Here, solving the question of how to make a massage table yourself without involving outside help, you can use a jigsaw with an inclined sole or a circular saw with an inclined disk.

We connect the next two supports (parts B) halfway through the tree, selecting the grooves using a saw and chisel. We cut off their upper ends at an angle of 30 degrees.

Drawing and photograph of part B of the support

We assemble supports A with supports B onto piano hinges, securing them with self-tapping screws. We should end up with two identical sets of legs. We immediately check them for foldability - no distortions are allowed.

Assembling the massage table

WITH inside frames we mark lines for four piano hinges. We fasten the hinges with self-tapping screws, connecting the supports and frames of the tabletops. First we screw it in fastener into the middle hole, check if there are any distortions when folding the legs. If everything is in order, screw in the side screws.

We attach the supports to the tabletop frames

We connect the two halves of the table, also with hinges located at a short distance from the ends of the lids. We screw the hinges onto the self-tapping screws so that the halves fold easily.

Making spacers

The part that will give the massage table stability and determine its height is made from two bars 53 cm long. We connect their short ends with a piano loop, we get a spacer 1060 mm long. This value is approximate; you can decide on the length as you go. The point here is that the shorter the spacer, the higher the table. We screw the ends of the element to the short sides of the legs using the same loops and screws.

We lay out the massage table and check its strength. We install latches on the end sides so that the folded table retains its shape. We attach a carrying handle on top. The equipment is ready for use.

Looking at such an image item, you want to exclaim: we did it! After all, a beautiful and durable massage table is not only convenient to use, but also inspires patients with subconscious confidence in the effectiveness of massage. Now, having looked at the creation of your own hands, you can safely begin private practice.
