Step 3. The other side wall is attached in the same way.

Note! The cabinet over which the sink will be installed does not have a back wall, but is often equipped with an additional stiffening rib.

Step 7 Adjustable legs are attached to the bottom of floor cabinets. The distance from them to the nearest edges should be about 50 mm. Legs can be metal or plastic.

In the first case, they perform not only a supporting, but also a decorative function. Upon completion of kitchen installation, plastic products are covered with a plinth strip. Suspended structures supplied with loops for mounting to the wall.

The drawer is assembled according to the same principle.

Step 1. Four planks are connected to each other at right angles to form a box.

Step 2. Diagonals are measured, the lengths of which should not differ from each other.

Step 3. The guides are fixed to the side walls of the box.

Step 4. Mount the front of the box using screws. Sometimes the front wall of the box can serve as a facade. In this case, it is attached to the side crossbars using an eccentric. But such a design is rarely found in modern kitchens.

It is better to assemble the drawers after the upper cabinets and lower cabinets have been assembled and installed.

As noted above, so that the lower row of cabinets does not interfere, many experts recommend hanging the upper cabinets first.

First of all, correctly mark the mounting location. To do this, set aside the height from the floor at which the bottom of the cabinets will be located. If the person who will work in the kitchen most often is of average height, then it is recommended to measure 1.3 - 1.4 m for the bottom of the cabinet. Then, from this mark, the height of the cabinets themselves is also set upward and a line is marked where the fasteners will be installed. The line must be smooth and horizontal, which is checked using the mounting level.

Note! The distance between the tabletop and the upper section should be about 0.6 m. Therefore, if you decide to start installation from the lower cabinets, then measure this distance upward from them to select the mounting height of the upper cabinets.

You can hang cabinets in different ways:

• the traditional option involves the use of mounting loops;
• in the second case, a rail is used, which is mounted to the wall, and a kind of hook attached to the back wall of the cabinet and clinging to the rail.

Note! An exhaust air duct and a gas pipe often pass through the upper section of the headset. For this reason, in all cabinets it is necessary to first cut out holes for these communications using a jigsaw or hacksaw. All cut areas must be treated with sealant.

The first method of installing wall cabinets includes the following steps.

• along the line drawn on the wall, mark the place of the first fastening and drill a hole with a hammer drill;
• fasteners are inserted into the hole;
• hang the cabinet on one hinge on the mount and, continuing to hold the module, level it using a spirit level and mark the place where you need to drill a hole for the second fastener for this cabinet;
• After installing the second fastener, hang and finally level the cabinet.

This procedure is repeated for all cabinets.

The second mounting method makes it easier to install the upper section. It should be taken into account that in this case it is not possible to attach the cabinets flush to the wall. This installation of upper cabinets, although expensive, is very simple:

• first, a special metal strip is attached along the line drawn on the wall;
• special hanging devices like hooks are screwed to the upper corners of the back wall of the cabinets using screws;
• hook the hooks onto the rail;
• level the cabinet.

When the entire top row is mounted and leveled, the cabinets need to be tightened together with furniture screws.

Installation of lower cabinets

After the installation of the upper sections is completed, you can begin installing the floor cabinets.

Note! In the lower cabinets you will also need to make holes and recesses for sewer, water and gas pipes, as well as for connecting electrical appliances to the network.

Step 1. Starting from the corner, the cabinet is installed in place.

Step 2. Adjust the legs of the cabinet.

Step 3. Other cabinets are also installed and adjusted in height.

Step 4. They tighten the adjacent cabinets with a clamp, and then with a furniture tie.

After this, the tabletop is installed on the cabinets. First you need to cut out a hole in it with a jigsaw for washing.

1. To do this, lay the tabletop on the cabinets the way it will lie after installation.
2. Then choose the location of the sink and mark it with a pencil.
3. A hole is cut out using a jigsaw along the marked contour in the table top.
4. Treat the cut with silicone sealant.

If necessary, make a hole in the tabletop for hob and for communications.

After this, you can put the table cover back in place. This is often done using furniture corners that are screwed to the side walls of cabinets. The tabletop is laid on the cabinets and leveled.

If the lid of the cabinets consists of two parts, then they are connected using metal strips as follows:

• Using a hacksaw, the plank is cut to the width of the tabletop;
• coat one surface of the plank with sealant;
• attach it with screws to the cut of the tabletop;
• lubricate another surface metal slats sealant and immediately join with another part of the table cover.

After this, fix the tabletop on the cabinets by screwing screws into the holes in the furniture corners.

Final stage

This article will tell you how to assemble a kitchen yourself, using different interior elements. Decision on independent work will be true if you do not want to spend a lot of money and are completely confident in your own abilities.

Tools

To avoid problems with a lack of some tools and materials, carefully prepare everything you need in advance. Next will be given full list tools that may come in handy. High-quality installation possible if you have the following items:

• Screwdriver. To install a small kitchen set, you will need a universal screwdriver. This tool will not only make the installation process easier, but also speed it up.

Assembly of kitchen cabinets

Let's talk about assembling kitchen cabinets in the form of a sequence of actions.

1. We attach cross-shaped fastenings for the doors to the side walls. They are screwed with two self-tapping screws into pre-prepared holes.
2. Rails for drawers are also inserted into pre-prepared holes. In the future, during assembly, this will be extremely inconvenient.
3. Next, we insert wooden dowels into all the through holes (they are also called dowels or dowels). They strengthen the structure, creating a strong frame.
4. We check whether the cabinet is level, and then screw in the furniture screw using a hexagon. It pulls 2 parts together. We put a cap on top that will match the color of the furniture.
5. We screw the legs (if any) and set the desired height.
6. We nail the fiberboard sheet to the side wall using the small nails included in the kit.
7. On the wall cabinets we fix the fittings for mounting on the wall using adjustable awnings. They are attached from the inside to the side walls close to the upper corners.

Assembly of wall cabinets

First we install the hinges. Mark the mounting location on the side and door. Place these two elements on a flat surface (table, floor), aligning the marks. Apply the included loops and screw them on. We put something under the door so that it is at the same level. We screw the hinge on, then disassemble it by unscrewing the screw and putting the doors aside. Next we will work with the sidewalls.

We attach the top and bottom to the side panels using confirmations (come complete with a hexagon). If you have the appropriate bit, put it on the screwdriver. Otherwise, we use a regular key.
We fold the top and side parts, install the fasteners, then the bottom, and then the second panel.

Turning it over outer side down the fiberboard sheet (it is the back wall). We pierce the fiberboard with small nails using a construction stapler.

Shelf holders come from different materials, but are fixed according to the same principle - in wall holes. Sometimes choppers are used (hammered in, followed by placing a stop on the shelf). But most metal stops are simply installed in the hole.

Assembling a cabinet with drawers

First of all, we assemble a frame of 3 panels, that is, we work exactly the same as with ordinary cabinets. We insert dowels into the holes and connect the boards. We tighten them together with furniture screws.

To make the bottom of the box, insert a sheet of fiberboard into the grooves (under no circumstances use MDF sheets!).

Now we fix the facade with ties. The screws are screwed into the facade panel, the opposite ends are placed in the holes in the sidewalls. Eccentric bushings are a means of fixation. They need to be placed in a special place left by the manufacturer and turned. This way they are fixed.

We must screw the guides with rollers to the bottom from behind. Then we insert the drawers and check whether the mechanism works well.

Features of assembling a corner cabinet

Just one feature can be noted here. The fact is that inexpensive kitchen sets have a bottom made of two parts (this allows you to reduce costs). If you plan to install a sink in the cabinet, then the back wall is almost absent. Collet ties are responsible for the strength of the structure. In all other aspects, the assembly of corner kitchen furniture coincides with the assembly of ordinary cabinets with two doors.

How to hang cabinets in the kitchen

Even before assembling the kitchen furniture, you should buy special canopies and intersectional furniture ties for attaching wall cabinets. The big disadvantage of such fastening is the impossibility of regulation. If you hang it, there will be no way to move it towards the wall or move it away from it. Another disadvantage is that a separate hook is required for each canopy.

Adjustable

This is a more complex and expensive design. The body is made of plastic, the canopy is made of metal. There is a regulatory system. This allows you to move furniture in 4 directions: up, down, left, right. The canopies are attached to the inside side of the cabinet. A small hole is made in the back wall. Together with the awnings there is a mounting rail or strip. They are mounted on the wall, hooked onto the upper projection of the hooks. This design is very convenient. The load capacity of one canopy ranges from 25 to 50 kg.

How to install a kitchen unit

The kitchen assembly scheme can be selected individually. It makes no difference in what order the lockers will be installed. But what is important is where the installation will take place. It is best to start from the corner. The harmony of the entire single structure and the speed of work will depend on how evenly and correctly you hang the first element.

As already mentioned, the installation height depends on the height of the headset users. When hanging, a horizontal line is drawn with a bubble or water level. If you don’t want to draw, you can build a plane at the desired height using a level or a plane builder. The upper edge of the mounted strip or the alignment of standard canopies is installed along them.

The task seems simple, but at the same time difficult - to place all the cabinets so that the vertical lines are perpendicular to the floor and the horizontal lines are parallel to the walls. If you did everything exactly this way, then there should be no problems during operation.

The kitchen consists of separate cabinets, but they must be hung together, since it is one set. There are 2 ways to do this. Hang initially fastened elements or fasten already hung ones. The first option is not very convenient, because it is difficult to hang even 2 fastened cabinets alone.

The elements of the set are interconnected with the help of intersectional ties. At least 2 ties are required per wall. They are placed just above or below the loops. The walls of the two cabinets are fastened with clamps, a through hole is made along the diameter of the tie, into which the fasteners are pulled and tightened with a screwdriver.

How to install a countertop on a kitchen unit

To complete the installation of the kitchen unit, you need to place the last element - the countertop.

Regardless of the chosen material (fibreboard, MDF, fake diamond) installation steps are the same.

1. Based on the measurements taken, cut out the sheet. All excess is cut out using a jigsaw or hacksaw by hand.
2. Next, lubricate all ends with silicone-based sealant, place an aluminum strip on top and level it. We secure the bar with small self-tapping screws.
3. We decorate the closed edge of the surface with edging tape. First you need to warm it up, then apply it and cut off the excess. After gluing, the edges are polished.
4. We adjust the legs of the cabinets according to the construction level. If they cannot be adjusted, place plastic spacers under them.
5. Fill the top rear edge with sealant. Generously lubricate the rear end with silicone. We attach plastic or metal corners in the cabinet under the sink.
6. Carefully lay the tabletop on the cabinets and press it against the wall, or leave a small indentation (about 5mm).
7. Will directly attach the countertop to the kitchen unit. To do this, screw in self-tapping screws with a diameter of 30 and 16 mm (the latter - under the sink).
8. Now we can place the baseboard on the sides and in the corner between the splashback and the countertop. If corner fastening is performed, the connecting seam is masked aluminum profile. So that the furniture can be adjusted according to horizontal plane, adjustable supports are used. On each of the 4 supports, the required height is set in accordance with the level readings. 6. Drill several through holes for the jigsaw on it;
7. Place several strips of adhesive tape on the underside, covering the outlined area - this will prevent damage to the front surface when the piece being cut sag.
8. Use a jigsaw to cut a hole for the sink.
9. Apply sealant to the space between the inner and outer perimeters and wait until it thickens.
10. Insert and secure the sink with special clamps.

• Apply sealant to the ends, press the strip tightly with self-tapping screws, and remove excess silicone with acetone.

• Fill the gap between the edges adjacent to the apron with sealant and cover it with a furniture border.

A corner tabletop consists of two or more parts connected using special ties. Assemble it according to the following scheme:

• Apply the special glue included in the kit, which has high adhesive properties, to the upper edge of the joint;
• carefully lubricate the rest of the joint with ordinary wood glue;
• insert the lamellas into a special slot cut along both sides of the joint;
• install the ties from the underside into mirror-matched grooves made perpendicular to the joint surface, tighten using a wrench;
• Remove any glue that has come out on the front surface using white spirit or acetone.

We disassemble the hinge itself (it consists of two detachable hinges that are connected by a screw. We unscrew this screw, put the doors aside, and continue working with the sides.

Assembling the body

We attach the top and bottom to the sides. They are attached to confirmations - special furniture fasteners that come with a hex head. If there is an appropriate bit, we put it on the screwdriver; if not, we work with a hand wrench.

But most metal stops (which are probably what you need in kitchen cabinets) simply fit into the hole.

The cabinets are fastened together using intersectional ties. They are different diameters and different lengths - under laminated chipboards of different thicknesses. At least two ties are needed for one wall. They are placed in the area of ​​the loops - a little lower or a little higher. Two cabinets are placed in the same plane, their walls are fastened with clamps, a through hole is made - along the diameter of the tie, into which the fasteners are installed, tightened with a screwdriver or screwdriver.
