When everyone was settled, she offered to give us a tour of the apartment. Even despite the late evening, the apartment was light and very bright: yellow, fuchsia, blue. The most amazing thing happened after we returned to the tea table.
The boss took out a computer and showed us photographs of the apartment. Only it turned out that these were not photographs. This was an apartment design in 3D. This very apartment, long before it was realized in this form, was drawn by the designer on the computer.
How much did such a designer and his work cost! - I thought, but, of course, I politely remained silent and sipped my tea.
Be prepared that it will take some time to master. The main thing here is to be patient and calm.

The second step is arranging the furniture.
Here again it seemed to me, well, now I’ll arrange the furniture and everything will be like in the picture. But no. At this stage, it is important to select furniture from the catalog that matches the style and adjust it to size.
The furniture catalog has quite big choice. Of course, you always want more, but on the other hand, if there is a huge choice, then you can be stuck for a long time. I was pleased that there is conventional furniture, and there is furniture from IKEA (yes, that same store that cannot be named). So familiar sofas, kitchens and lamps with unpronounceable names are in the catalogue.

The cool thing is that the dimensions of the furniture can be changed, which means they can be adjusted to fit the dimensions of the interior. Later, you can look for a sofa that is the right size to fit into the space.
I have little experience using programs, but in the program I once used, it was impossible to change the size of the furniture. Here are the given dimensions and that's it. And there were only one or two choices. The interior created in this way turned out to be very conventional, because all the dimensions did not correspond to reality.

At this stage, the most important thing is to arrange the furniture so that everything fits organically into the space.
After the furniture is arranged, we choose materials and textures.
This is where more beauty begins. I put laminate on the floor, I could have put wallpaper on the walls, but I painted them with turquoise paint, covered the sofa with gray fabric and put a zigzag print on the curtains.
Almost all materials can be changed. And not only make the sofa leather or put linoleum on the floor, but also change the handles in the kitchen from gold to chrome and make them matte or shiny. What I liked was the eyedropper tool. After I chose the texture for the sofa, I used an eyedropper to make the same seats for the bar stools in two seconds.
The PRO account has the ability to upload your own textures, but I didn’t use it. What was offered in the catalog was quite enough for me.
All interior elements can be given any texture and color.
We complement the interior with lighting and decor.
At this stage, the interior already looked like what I had imagined, although only a few hours of my work in the program had passed. All that remains is to hang the chandeliers, lamps, put table lamp and a floor lamp. The catalog also includes built-in ceiling lamps, and it is possible to place sockets and switches - for example, I installed an intercom in the hallway of my apartment.
Well finishing touch- decor. I arranged the books on the shelves and placed them on the desktop open computer and a cup of tea. Plants immediately added liveliness to the interior. I even added a cat to make it more fun.
The more beauty and detail there is in the interior, the longer it takes to load. Therefore, at this stage, due to the fact that I was working in the online version and did not download the program to my computer, the program began to freeze on me and the work began to progress more slowly. But, firstly, with the autosave function, nothing that I did was lost, and secondly, there was already such excitement to do everything beautifully that I suffered from freezing of the program.
Decoration finished interior- the last and most enjoyable stage.
The last stage is the most interesting. Renders. Those very realistic 3D designs.
I was so delighted with the resulting interior in 3D format that I didn’t even know why these renderings were needed. But when I tried it, I was delighted! That's when I remembered the story about the boss who showed me 3D designs from the designer.
Renders are realistic images of the interior. Unlike a three-dimensional image, which is visible in 3D mode, light appears on the renders, which means shadows, highlights, and reflections. Everything looks much more realistic.
The program takes some time to prepare the render. We'll have to be patient.
I set the time when I take the photo and the location of the sun so that the render looks as natural as possible. For example, during the day, when the sun is shining through the window, the lighting is not the same as in the evening. These parameters can be set in the program.
Making a render - here I always want to say a photo, but this is not a real photo, but a photorealistic image - and seeing what happens is a real adventure. If you have a PRO account, then the picture can be taken in very good resolution and quality.

But I understand that people are much less surprised by such 3D images now than they were 10 years ago, when I was visiting my boss for the first time and saw that this was possible in principle. If you also want to invite friends over and surprise them with the design of your future apartment, then in Planoplan you can make not only renderings, but also a picture in virtual reality format.
To do this, I downloaded an application to my phone (it is available for both iOS and Android, it is easy to find in the catalog under the name Planoplan GO!), took a photo in VR format, and then scanned the QR code and saw my design on the phone screen.
This is a spherical panorama of 360 degrees and it makes it possible not only to look at the interior, but to imagine yourself inside. At the Planoplan office you can get virtual reality glasses for free and look at your created design. But even without glasses it looks sooo cool.
There will definitely be a wow effect for friends and acquaintances.
