The color of the coffee-with-milk curtains. The color of coffee with milk in the interior - combinations and shades. Which apartments is it suitable for?

We recently received another order; we needed to sew curtains for an adult bedroom located in a private house. The customer, a striking middle-aged woman who introduced herself as Anastasia, invited our designer to her home and told her her wishes regarding future products. They were as follows:

  • Curtains to match color finishing premises (read about curtains in the color of the wallpaper here). No red, green, black or blue flowers must not be.
  • The cut of the curtains is simple, without frills, but not without some flair.
  • The presence of tulle or curtains.
  • The room has a separate balcony door, which is often used in the mornings warm time of the year. We need to come up with an easy-to-open drapery for it.
  • Complete the order as quickly as possible.

A separate wish was to choose a fabric with non-contrasting embroidery or a three-dimensional pattern.

Interior description

The bedroom was on the second floor of the house, and was corner room. On one side there was a huge, almost entire wall corner window, and on the other wall there was a door, with glass to the floor, without additional windows.

The decoration of the walls and ceiling in the interior was done in the color “coffee with milk”. White windows and a balcony door looked harmonious with the same bed and armchair. A light brown laminate was laid on the floor, imitating a parquet board.

Fabric selection

The first thing I did was choose the fabric for future curtains. In our collection we found a beautiful cotton fabric, café au lait color, on which a white, three-dimensional pattern was applied. I decided to use it for a large window, and for the balcony door. The color of the fabric was in perfect harmony with the decoration of the ceiling and walls of the room, and its pattern went perfectly with the white curtain.

Curtain

For the curtain I chose translucent, snow-white, airy organza tulle. I decided to use the curtain only on the window, so as not to create inconvenience when opening the balcony door.

Keeping in mind the customer's wishes, I chose a simple cut for the curtains, but with some secret. For the window, I took fabric twice as long as its length. In the closed position, the curtains will have smooth, symmetrical folds, and when open, the curtain will look draped in a large number of deep folds, which will give the interior an additional zest. To form folds, it was decided to attach the curtains to eyelets and cover the cornice with a rigid lambrequin.

In order to hide the fastening of the curtains and give additional charm to the curtains, I decided to use a hard lambrequin, made from several layers of the same fabric as on the curtains. The lambrequin forms a textile box, inside which a curtain and drapes are fixed. Use this design technique I decided only on the window, since the balcony door was already decorated with slopes and molded cornice. For its drapery, it was decided to sew a Roman blind.

The balcony door was already designed as an independent architectural object with slopes and a cornice. To drape it, I decided to sew a Roman blind, from the same fabric as the curtains, but also with little secret. I placed the guide strips closer together than usual. In the open position, due to this technique, the curtain gathers into frequent deep folds, like curtains. The Roman blind was controlled using an electric drive (pro roller blinds with electric drive, read here), which is located on the slope at the bottom of the balcony door.

Tandem curtains and Roman blinds with interior

As mentioned above, the walls and ceiling are finished in “coffee with milk” color. Curtains and Roman blinds of the same tone organically complement the existing design. White curtains and patterns on curtains - in harmony with white ceiling cornice(about ceiling curtains here), the color of windows and furniture. A rigid lambrequin gives the interior an elegant simplicity and hides the corner transition of windows, as well as the fastening of curtains and curtains. Deep frequent folds on the curtains and open Roman blinds give the interior some zest. When closed, the Roman blind hangs straight, completely covering the door and, thanks to its color matching the walls and ceiling, is not very noticeable.

When I was choosing fabric for curtains and Roman blinds, I found a light-colored fabric that was very similar in texture and pattern. Brown. In order to dilute the coffee and milky colors of the room and textiles, after agreeing with the customer, I decided to sew pillow covers from this fabric, matching the color of the laminate on the floor.

What happened

The result was a harmonious tandem consisting of Roman blinds on the balcony door and eclectic style curtains on the windows. A snow-white curtain brings an additional touch of airiness and tenderness to the design. When closed, the Roman blind reliably covers and masks the balcony door. The mechanism allows you to quickly open the curtain, clearing the passage through the doorway or closing it completely if necessary. Pillows in the color of the floor dilute the monochromatic scheme and harmonize with the rest of the textiles.

Customer review

Anastasia K.

I liked your work. As your designer said, “style without style.” A hard, straight lambrequin and curtains in thick folds really make the bedroom simple and austere, but with its own zest. The quality of the fabric is excellent, it can even be seen with the naked eye. The curtain perfectly diffuses the morning rays of the sun and at the same time does not shade the room. The pillows really “dilute” the color of the bedroom, I’m glad I gave in to your persuasion and agreed to sew them. The curtain on the balcony door is simply amazing! I didn't expect such an effect! If I didn’t know that there was a door behind the closed curtain, I would have thought what it was design solution, use curtain fabric in wall decoration. In the open position, the curtain does not interfere with the passage to the balcony at all and is easily controlled using a mechanism. I am very pleased with this decision. So, I decided to renovate the room of my mother, who lives with me and is ready to invite you again to sew curtains for her updated bedroom.

Curtains in milky tones are a great addition to any interior. Using curtains you can make a space more comfortable, light and spacious. Milk curtains bring back pleasant memories of the wedding, and also carry an atmosphere of romance and innocence.

For curtains to look harmonious, you need to know how and what to combine them with, what elements to choose. If all the nuances are observed, the transformed apartment will look great.

What to combine with

Milky-colored curtains are universal. Perfectly selected decorations and color combinations will help create an atmosphere of comfort. For combination, it is advisable to choose muted tones; bright ones will look like a stain and hurt the eye.

Decorations in straw colors are ideal for decoration, which will add tenderness and harmony to the design. Dairy brown curtains will bring a touch of elegance and rigor to the room. They will look great in the guest and sleeping areas. Furniture made in pastel colors will highlight the design, and decorations made in gold, olive and brown colors will give the effect of luxury.

Don’t forget about the theme that will prevail in the room. If this is a bedroom for a girl or girl, then curtains can be combined with a delicate pink. The decor can be selected furniture in soft colors, a fluffy carpet, and flowers.

Undoubted companion flowers are:

  • wenge;
  • herbal;
  • all dark shades;
  • red and pink.

At correct selection decorations and colors the room will have a finished look. Agree that it is nice to return home where comfort and coziness reign.

Combination of milk curtains with different directions

Curtains are one of the design elements that catches the eye. Each style, be it classic or baroque, has certain shades. Knowing how to combine color with style, you can achieve harmony in the design of the space. All snow-white tones from beige to pastels are formed using basic white.

But snow-white does not look as cozy and gentle as the milk color. Therefore, white curtains are perfect for such a style as country style. In country style, snow-white tones predominate and the decoration does not require complexity.

The milky shade suits classicism more. Furniture from natural wood will perfectly complement a spacious room, and milk-colored curtains will complement this tandem. Here they can be combined with a gold color, with fabric that has embroidery or fringe.

If you want simplicity and sincerity to be present, complement the decoration with embroidered pillows and various figurines made of natural stone.

In combination with soft pink, blue and brown, it is suitable for the Provence direction. In a small apartment, a room decorated in this direction will give the atmosphere of a country house. Curtains in a milky shade will look ridiculous when decorated in a high-tech style; their best combination is in a vintage space design.

To create a harmonious atmosphere, pay attention to details. Below are photos of milky curtains used to decorate different rooms.

Which apartments is it suitable for?

Milky is a warm shade, which means it would be appropriate for the bedroom. Chocolate-milk curtains will add tenderness and romance. The addition will be floor-length vases, decor with photographs and light-colored baguettes. The lighting in such a bedroom should be more natural.

Milky curtains in the living room look perfect in brown complement (furniture, wall decor, wallpaper). When decorating, pay due attention to the wallpaper; it can be either plain or with subtle patterns. When choosing gold and beige tones, the apartment will not look gloomy.

Light curtains fit perfectly into the kitchen area. In the interior of the kitchen they will give it a classic look. Kitchen set should be made of natural wood, it is not cheap, but will last a long time.

The curtain for the kitchen can be decorated in American style. The addition will be a bar counter, dinner table in color and bright lamps.

Which lighting to choose

Particular attention should be paid artificial lighting and give it the right angle. Consider the play of light and shadows from furniture and decor. A room with milk-colored curtains can become unclear and faded if the lighting is incorrect.

To reach ideal option, furniture can be moved in different time days, this experiment will help you achieve the ideal result

A shade with a slight yellowish tone will give the room warmth, while lamps with white light will make it cold. If the windows face north use yellow light, south suitable for windows white.

Each detail plays a certain role in the design of the room, but the most important thing is to listen to yourself what you want, and then the created interior with milky curtains will delight you every day. And when you return home, you will enjoy pleasant evenings with your family in a cozy and warm room with beautiful curtains.

When thinking and choosing what a bedroom should be like, each of us relies on our preferences, sense of style and taste. How to make a bedroom comfortable, cozy, original and so that the bedroom design meets all your requirements. If you prefer calm and soft, but not at all boring shades, then a bedroom in coffee tones is for you.

Imagine how pleasant it will be to relax in such a bedroom; you will be able to immerse yourself in an aura of peace and relaxation, which is exactly what you need. The bedroom is the place where you need to feel privacy, peace and security.

Coffee color has a fairly wide range of shades, from light brown to dark almost black. This is one of the most “delicious” colors that allows you to create a unique image for your bedroom.

At the same time, coffee color goes well with quite a few colors, for example:

  • blue
  • purple
  • gray
  • black
  • beige
  • creamy
  • white

Some of these colors and shades can be used to break up the calmness of the coffee color.

Let's look at what elements of furniture and decor will help you achieve your plans.

Furniture and walls

If you choose coffee-colored furniture, then the color of the walls can be blue, beige or white. Moreover, these colors will look equally appropriate if you paint the walls, as well as if you choose wallpaper with a pattern of these colors.

If you prefer, on the contrary, to decorate the walls with one of the shades of coffee color, then, accordingly, so that the furniture does not “get lost” in your interior, you need to choose it light shades and flowers.

Also, when choosing a color for the walls, pay attention to how large the bedroom space is. That is, the decoration of the walls is quite dark colors suggests large spaces, since dark shades eat up most Sveta. But don't be afraid if your bedroom has several panoramic windows and you also provided evening lighting in several places in the room, namely the central light, LED lights in hidden niches along the contour of the ceiling, more lamps or sconces by the bed.

Ceiling

The ceiling in the bedroom can be suspended, suspended or conservatively painted.

If your choice fell on suspended ceiling, then it can be made matte. A glossy stretch ceiling will help you visually expand the space and “raise” the ceiling in small bedroom. And if you make it light, it will support the idea of a coffee interior.

Suspended ceilings will help you realize your designer's ideas. Their variety will allow you to highlight the ceiling and make it a spectacular center of attention. For example, if in the center of the bedroom you make suspended ceiling in the shape of a circle with a stained glass pattern, especially since the glass will allow you to place hidden lighting.

Floor

In this case, the choice of colors and textures for floor decoration is also quite large. To the coffee shop the color will suit gray, beige, melted caramel color, bleached oak and dark chocolate.

It is also important to understand what materials you will be using. Parquet, parquet board, the so-called engineered board with a scuffed effect or laminate and finally, perhaps it will be carpet covering over the entire bedroom area. If you choose the right floor covering, it will add zest to your “coffee” bedroom.

A small carpet with a high soft pile in mocha or purple, will undoubtedly decorate the bedroom and “make friends” with coffee-colored furniture and accessories.

Windows and textiles

As for window decoration, the modern variety of textiles and other materials will allow you to highlight the aesthetics of your bedroom in coffee tones.

Depending on the chosen bedroom style, for classics you can choose cream silk or satin curtains with lamrequin; for minimalism, white Roman curtains, linen and cotton colors are suitable sea wave can be chosen for eco-style.

To decorate the bed, you can choose a bedspread and decorative pillows to match the curtains.

Textiles are also used to make soft wall panels, for example, for the head of a bed or decorating the walls of a room. Such black coffee or cappuccino colored panels will add even more softness and comfort to your bedroom.

The headboard of the bed with a large floral ornament of chocolate color, enclosed in a wide, similar in tone, looks very impressive. wooden frame with lighting that smoothly transitions to the ceiling above the bed.

The main thing is, when you come up with and realize your design fantasies, do not overload the interior with unnecessary details that can disrupt the magic of the atmosphere created by coffee shades.

Coffee shades will add grace, splendor and even nobility to your bedroom, regardless of the chosen style. All colors in the interior should be in harmony and not contradict each other.

The style of curtains is always chosen with an eye to the wallpaper. What kind of walls, such curtains - not in the sense of tone on tone, this concerns, first of all, the coincidence of textures, color balance, play of prints. Whether this happens in the living room or the bedroom is being decorated, you need to choose curtains so that there is a feeling of a single ensemble.

The best move is to take a piece of wallpaper with you to the curtain salon. This way you won’t be choosing from memory, but quite clearly. Choosing curtains based only on pictures on the Internet is dangerous. The fact is that there the curtains are depicted under high-quality lighting, but the lighting in your room may be different.

And in the catalogues, the curtains are neutral - they are not tied to the interior. You will have to choose curtains that will look great in your room. Therefore, going to the store with a piece of wallpaper is a win-win solution. Of course, you still have to use some imagination: mentally “attach” the curtains to the furniture, and even include the floor and ceiling in the overall picture.

Another tip - try not to go to a salon or store with a specific option in mind. At least give yourself the opportunity unexpected decision. Very often, the installation makes it difficult to discern a truly suitable option, even if it was not initially considered.

For example, you are planning to buy strictly cream curtains with an unobtrusive pattern. Because that’s what my friend has, it’s so beautiful, fashionable and goes with everything. And in the salon we saw curtains of a chic chocolate shade that just beg to be hung on your wall and coffee table. But the installation prevents you from taking a closer look at the really successful option.

Standard beige wallpaper in the interior: what goes with it

Beige wallpaper is a more than common choice. Everything is explained by the compromise of the pastel palette, which really does not get boring, looks calm and balanced. And this is good, because choosing accessories and textiles, looking at such multi-variant wallpapers, is not at all difficult.

The main thing is not to get confused in warm/cold tones. It’s better not to mix them; only professionals or people with very good skills can do this correctly. good taste. Warm pastel colors are all muted colors, not just beige and its variants. But in the case of beige wallpaper, you can consider shades of sand, coffee, shades of baked milk, and “golden” wallpaper as companions.

Beige is a universal color, and therefore:

  • A stern black man approaches him;
  • Exciting lilac;
  • Spring blue;
  • Muted pink.

If you don’t want to go out of the “beige-brown” line, then you can choose accent curtains terracotta color, pale orange curtains, plain purple curtains. If beige is combined with furniture in olive tones, then you can use diluted green shades. A brown-coffee color will look good if similar-colored accessories are still present in the room.

What kitchen features do you need to pay attention to in order to achieve a delicious result? The answer is in the following material:

Stylish wallpaper coffee with milk: which curtains to choose

And here you can play with options, ranging from light lemon to rich burgundy. You can try playful blue. It is not true that he always makes the room terribly cold. Often blue curtains refresh the atmosphere: sometimes it’s enough to hang a blue curtain and change sofa cushions in blue, it gives the impression that the room has been renovated.

Emerald curtains with golden decor can also make friends with such wallpaper, if something, again, emerald, is present in the interior. Perhaps the upholstery of the chair. The same pillows in the sofa area, ceiling area (chandelier, etc.)

Try to figure out whether pink or dark blue will fit into the hall or another room. These colors can make café au lait wallpaper more dynamic, allowing the room to “move” and therefore appear larger. This design is suitable for those who like to freshen up their decor. Curtains can remain traditional: tulle, chiffon, threads.

Online fitting: which curtains will suit yellow wallpaper, photo

Yellow is one of the most cheerful colors. Very often it is used by fashion designers. For example, in Lately Transparent retro roses have become popular. Or yellow wallpaper with milk monograms. Well, then you need to choose suitable curtains.

TO yellow color suitable:

  • Black;
  • Violet;
  • Azure;
  • Grey;
  • Cream;
  • White;
  • Blue;
  • Red.

Milk curtains with a “transparent” flower will play well against the cheerful yellow background. Gray and white curtains can balance the composition. Or you can take lemon curtains with a white or beige pattern of flowers or geometric shapes. Quite a good option, by the way, in the kitchen.

The ideal combination of wallpaper and curtains in the interior: photo

Most convenient option– white wallpaper. Combine them with either red or silver. Of course, you also need to take into account the features of the furniture. If the wallpaper is neutral, the curtains can match either the sofa or the set. Sometimes there is also photo wallpaper in the room, which directs the choice in this direction.

When planning your renovation, don't forget to also consider the color combination of the ceiling and walls. In the following article you will find several ways to achieve results:

If you have liquid wallpaper on your walls, the texture of such a coating is also taken into account. Curtains should not be in dissonance with this wallpaper. The textures must either match or be in the same plane. This affects the overall perception of space.

Try not to combine things that only a professional can do well. This is a fusion of floral and geometric, this is a diversity of textures, this is multicolor. More than three dominant colors in the interior is already too much. It would be better if there were two of them, and other tones would delicately play along with them.

Harmonious combination of colors in the interior: curtains and wallpaper (video)

Today there is a lot of information on the Internet, open the same Wiktionary and you will find out about everything in the world. But the sense of taste is formed in practice, in the study of objects of art, observations, etc. Therefore, rely not so much on fashion, but on a sense of style, aesthetics, and good taste.

Good luck with your choice!

Examples: which curtains will go with beige wallpaper (photo ideas)

Since ancient times, brown colors have been used in home decoration. This natural color continues to be popular today. In our article you will see how brown curtains look in the interior and enjoy a voluminous selection of photos.

You can also expect the most fashionable shades, color combinations, various window compositions and useful tips design specialists.

This universal color goes well with others - warm and cold. It creates an atmosphere of comfort, tranquility, and stability.

Brown curtains soften the interior, protecting the room well from sunlight. There is only one minus: dark colors visually reduce the space, and if there are too many of them, the room will be gloomy.

But this does not mean that you should give up noble dark brown curtains. The main thing here is a competent approach and compliance with the required “dosage”.

Let's look at how best to do this, using the example of one of the most trendy colors.

Wenge color curtains

Like zebrawood, wenge is a rare species of tropical wood of the same name. A hard, load-resistant material is used for the manufacture of furniture, doors, and floor coverings.

Wenge, a dark brown with black veining, matches all other types of wood and is often used for contrasting designs.

Deep and rich, it is valued for the nobility that it brings to the interior, as well as for the variety of shades. In some of them you can see notes of burgundy or even purple.

Plain dark curtains the best way suitable for living room or bedroom large sizes with good lighting.

In less spacious rooms, a color that complements the decor may be present on light curtains in the form of monograms, designs, patterns, edging, and accessories.

Double curtains will be a beautiful window decoration that complements the overall color scheme. In this case, the window is framed with plain canvases in combination with tulle, or, if you wish, without it.

Compositions of 3 canvases on each side of the window look especially elegant. Along the edges there are dark monotonous curtains, inside there is one of the shades of white. And the middle patterned fabric contains both colors. To be completely convinced, take a look at these photos.

They won't let you overdo it dark color filament curtains. They can be alternated with a white, cream mesh veil, playing with contrasts of colors and materials.

If the furniture in the room is made of wenge wood, designers recommend choosing other, lighter or darker colors for curtains. Especially if you want to draw all the attention to the furniture.

But the curtains can match the color of the door at the opposite end of the room, which will create color harmony. Doors and a narrow wardrobe on a white background look very impressive - for example, as in these photos.

Perhaps you are wondering what to combine curtains of such an unusual color with? Choose curtains to match the color of the largest object in the room - sofa, table, piano.

You can act differently by complementing window decor other home textiles - bedspreads, pillowcases, chair covers.

Another way is to combine the colors present in the interior in curtains. For example, brown curtains with a beige pattern will match the color of the walls, furniture, and other objects.

But, you see, everyone has their own concept of beauty and norm. Some will be quite comfortable in a hall or office where dark colors dominate. And bright artificial or natural lighting will help to achieve the desired light balance.

Advice (not from a designer, but from a psychologist): If dark colors do not necessarily cause depression and depressing thoughts, then monochrome interiors this is exactly what contributes to this.

Cocoa curtains

This pleasant color seems to fill the room with the sweet aroma of your favorite drink. The delicate woody shade of brown can be called traditional and at the same time ultra-fashionable.

It is found in classical modern style, perfectly combined with pastel as well as rich colors. Cocoa-colored curtains look perfect in the interior of a nursery or bedroom.

Harmonizing with walls, furniture, flooring, such curtains will not act as an accent, but rather as a cozy addition.

Plain fabrics look best against the background of the same or ornamented walls. Curtains with patterns are more appropriate on a monochrome background.

Whatever color scheme No matter how the room is decorated, cocoa-colored curtains will always be in place. Additions include a carpet, lampshade, sofa cushions, niches, and accent wall.
There is an opinion that such colors tend to make the room smaller. But you can argue with this by looking at the photos presented below.

Cafe au lait curtains

And here is another confirmation of the well-known design move - to use in the design a color that is associated with something tasty.

The color of coffee with milk is no less universal. Fashionable coffee shades today are often used in interior design, regardless of the style direction and purpose of the rooms.

This is due to the fact that they go well with all other colors. Warm light brown tones have no “contraindications” in terms of room size.

Interesting fact: color therapy experts confidently claim that the color of coffee with milk is calming and conducive to positive communication.

Brown curtains in the interior of different rooms

When choosing a model, color and style of curtains, designers recommend considering:

  • general color scheme;
  • light level;
  • room dimensions.

And, of course, the design style, which we will return to a little later.

Rules in modern interiors smart design, that is, a balance of beauty and convenience. So, in some rooms it may not be too smart - in the living room, bedroom, although there are some nuances here too.

Another example is that curtains in the bathroom should not absorb or allow moisture to pass through. It would seem that this is obvious, but which of us has never missed the obvious in our lives, being in aesthetic delight?

Before you fully commit to design, arm yourself with a few more practical tips:

  • long curtains in dark shades - not the best choice for small, and especially poorly lit rooms;
  • voluminous compositions with lambrequins, as well as double curtains, require a very strong cornice;
  • an interior with an abundance of decor will only be overloaded with a complex, multi-layered window composition;
  • To completely darken the room, use curtains made of blackout fabric.

You will find confirmation of all this in the photo.

Now let's find out how brown curtains will look in the living room interior.

There is a natural desire to impress here. Or at least create the most favorable atmosphere for the family.

Do you already know what will be the main accent of the room? If not, consider elegant drapes that will make a statement thanks to unusual design or expensive material.

Curtains can complement the color ensemble, and, if you want, they can completely merge with the walls, creating spatial unity.

Ascetic modern interiors Curtains with eyelets that create large or small drapery are suitable. A hard lambrequin matching the color of the curtains will always help to hide a bulky cornice that does not harmonize in color.

In a more classic setting, compositions with soft, draping or openwork lambrequins will look organic.

Combinations of several dense fabrics look impressive. Notice how chocolate and coffee shades look perfect with white and beige.

If you are against plain dark curtains, but still really want to add wenge or coffee colors to your window decor, limit yourself to the top and bottom parts of the curtains. The drawstring, frill or edging, and, if necessary, the scoop will contrast against a lighter background.

Another fashionable move is striped curtains. They can be draped in such a way that when moved they become monochromatic.

Vertical stripes are very useful to use in rooms with low ceilings, because they visually elevate the room. The same effect is achieved by a ceiling cornice.

It is unusual and very popular to hang patterned tulle on top of thick plain curtains, which serve as an excellent background. And this is what it looks like.

Current window decor that combines beauty and convenience - asymmetrical, as well as combined curtains, ideal for living rooms with balcony door or non-standard proportions.

Roman curtains with tulle, roller and Scandinavian curtains– there are quite a lot of such combinations. They are often used when only one side of a window needs to be darkened.

If the intended purpose of the hall should be lush and expressive, then other rooms, on the contrary, should be filled with peace and tranquility. Therefore, brown curtains in the interior of your bedroom will better play a secondary, rather than a major role.

Fans of contrasting interiors will like dark canvases that harmonize with pillows, rugs, and lamps.

The pattern on the curtains can be duplicated on other textiles, on a section of wall or furniture. Practical nuance– to create complete darkness at any time of the day, night curtains are useful.

If neither curious neighbors nor the bright sun threaten you, pay attention to compositions from different types tulle.

Attached with magnets to clips or eyelets, a crossed veil can surprise you. Decorating it with fringe or edging will fill the room with lightness and romance. An equally elegant frame for the window will be muslin.

For small rooms or bedrooms in the attic the best option There will be cascading, Roman or roller blinds. In addition to the lifting mechanism, they differ from other models in horizontal folds and the absence of a standard cornice.

But the most important thing is that they tightly close the window opening, leaving no chance for light. Such models are often used in small kitchens, where it is important to have access to the window sill, and especially in cases where it plays the role of a table.

Brown in the kitchen interior is simply ideal. It does not stain, perfectly complements bright colors, and also contrasts against the background of more muted tones. All that remains is to choose the design and the desired shade.

If you don't like lifting curtains, pay attention to short tulle. In the shape of an arch, semicircular, oblique, it does not eat up space, decorating the window.

Window sill curtains or cafe curtains would also be good solutions.

As for colors: light colors with a medium-sized dark pattern that harmonizes with furniture, facades, and textiles. This is most relevant in small spaces.

A minimal amount of dark shades of brown is also recommended in a children's room. Sandy and soft brown are excellent companions for female and male flowers.

Therefore, curtains of this color will be appropriate in both a boy’s room and a girl’s room. In the first case, they can be decorated with pictures, and in the second, you can add a lambrequin, ruffles, fringe, muslin, bows, frills and other little things that are pleasing to the female eye.

Coffee colors are often found in the design of bathrooms. They promote relaxation and seem to fill the room with an appropriate aroma.

With the “dark bottom – light top” standard, plain floor-length chocolate curtains, you see, will not look good. And it’s a completely different matter if the drawing or frame is dark brown.

Styles

Have you noticed from the photographs that brown curtains have no style restrictions? Antique interiors, as well as rooms in minimalist and modern styles, are often decorated in coffee tones.

Some trends are generally difficult to imagine without the color brown - for example, Victorian and Biedermeier.

Light, monochromatic and extremely simple in cut and material, floor-length curtains are characteristic of Greek, Italian, French styles, alpine chalet. They can be found in the design of modern eco, loft, high-tech interiors. It is acceptable to use other types - Roman and roll models.

Lush velvet, jacquard, corduroy with monograms, fringe, lambrequins, and other decor will fit perfectly into styles such as Empire, Baroque, and retro.

Neoclassical and shabby chic will be emphasized with light patterned tulle or thread curtains. Brown checkered or floral curtains look organic in Provence or country style rooms.

Eclecticism - a mixture of styles - is one of fashion trends in interior design. Therefore, combine styles, materials and types of curtains. Perhaps the oxymoron you created will become a new trend.

A color scheme

Brown shades look great with other colors, acting as a background, but can be present in the form of ornaments, images, and accessories.

There are also colors with which they are combined most attractively:

  • beige;
  • white;
  • black;
  • grey;
  • light yellow;
  • olive.

As you remember, it is recommended to dilute monochrome interiors with two or three colors. Pay attention to white or gray-brown compositions from double curtains, which will be complemented by small furnishings.

Alternating plain and patterned fabrics, arranged in an asymmetrical order, correspond to another fashion trend.

Light coffee colors look impressive in combination with all shades of beige, white, gray. Many people will like their proximity to blue, light orange, pink and bright red.

Bold decisions would be combinations with lemon, blue, purple, rich yellow, and green.

On this positive note we end our review. Now you have no doubt that brown curtains - universal decor, suitable for every interior, right? Add a little imagination to the inspiration you received from our article and start transforming your home!
