Board game "businessman" - a forum for smart people. What's in the set

Instructions

The economic game “businessman” is a more advanced model of economic games previously produced in our country.
By playing it, you find yourself in the fascinating world of simulated financial transactions, which help you better understand such categories as “exchange”, “stocks”, “bankruptcy”, and try your hand at fighting competition.
Participation in this game requires the manifestation of a number of qualities - mathematical abilities, the ability to quickly navigate in various situations, stimulating the development of memory, observation, and attention.
“Businessman” is a kind of family game for all age groups, starting from 8-9 years old and with a number of participants from two to six people. We hope that by purchasing our game, you will be able to spend your leisure time with interest and benefit.
Start of the game
First, carefully cut cards of enterprises and firms, “notices”, “surprise”, “exchanges”, simulated banknotes. Then place the cards of enterprises and firms on the corresponding squares on the field. "Surprise" and "Notice" cards can be placed in a stack in convenient location. Assign additional banking responsibilities to one of the game participants. Distribute, after shuffling, three large and four small “exchange” cards, which are kept secret from other players. Choose a chip, get 250,000 from the bank and one share of each color.
Determine who starts the game and the order. Place the chips of all participants at the start. When rolling the dice, advance the number of squares corresponding to the amount of points on the top side of the dice, the next turn starts from where you left off last time. And so on in turn. During the game, all offers for sale, exchange, pledge, purchase come, first of all, from the player whose turn it is to roll the dice. Throughout the game, until you or your competitors go broke, the chips pass around the perimeter several times, and every time the player stops or goes through the “start”, the bank pays him 20,000.
For beginners, it is recommended to initially play along the outer perimeter of the field, since the inner circle is more complicated and requires certain playing skills.
Empty lot
The cell where the player stops as a result of rolling the dice or direction in the “Notice” can be purchased after paying the price indicated on it (at the bottom of the card) to the bank, or sold to any player at any markup that suits both.
The player who purchased the empty lot takes the property card located on the field. In order to start building branches and enterprises, you must first buy up all the empty plots of the same color located in a row on any side of the playing field. When building branches and enterprises, it is necessary to use the appropriate chips. On one plot you can build only a branch, then an enterprise, paying the cost of each to the bank. The player cannot immediately build an enterprise on one site if there are no branches on others.
During the game, there may not be enough branch and enterprise chips for those wishing to purchase them. In this case, players must wait until someone sells or returns them to the bank.
The company is acquired immediately and completely; nothing is built on it.
Competitor's site
When a player, regardless of how he lands, lands on a section of the field owned by another player, the owner of the section charges a rental fee at the rates indicated on the section. If a player owns all plots of the same color located nearby, the rental fee is doubled. If a player forgets to claim payment before the next dice roll, no hiring fee will be charged.
Before the start of their next turn, everyone can exchange, buy or sell a plot to other players in order to form complete groups of the same color for themselves. It is recommended to make such trades because the interests of the players increase from the moment one can build.
"Surprise" and "Notice" cells
Take the top card from the corresponding deck and, after completing the steps outlined on it, place it again under the deck. Keep the “play on the exchange” card until it becomes necessary; after playing on the exchange, put the card in its place.
Cells "fine", "win", "gift", profit"
Each time you land on the “Fine” cell, pay 30,000 to the bank. When you land on the “Win” cell, you receive 40,000 in the bank, “Profit” - you receive 50,000, “Gift” - you receive 3 shares of any color.
"Exchange"
In order to play on the Exchange, you must:
1. Roll a 3:3 die;
2. Pull out the “play the stock market” card;
3. Go to the “Broker” cell and pay 1000 for the service;
4. Be in the normal course of the game on square 10 or 50;
5. Get to cell 3 of the highway;
6. Get to cell 25 or 52 “Bank”.
A player who finds himself on the “Exchange”, before his move, can buy additional shares of interest to him, but no more than 4 of each color, and sell other shares at a profit. The initial cost of shares is 10,000. One point (cell) on the Exchange information board is equal to 1,000.
Then the player presents his choice of one of the cards he has. Large cards allow the player to increase the cost of shares of the color of interest by 10 points and at the same time reduce the cost of shares of other colors by 1, 2, 3 points, depending on which shares by how much.
Large two cards increase or decrease the value of shares of the same color. A player who presents such a card can reduce the value of shares of one of the other colors by half to any one of his opponents.
Small cards, 8 pieces of each color, are divided into those that reduce the value of shares (the lower number is colored) and those that increase their value (the upper number is colored) by the number of points indicated on them. A player who increases the value of shares of one color automatically lowers others by the number of points indicated on the card.
All changes in the value of shares are reflected on the Exchange information board by moving chips of the corresponding color by the number of points by which they decreased or increased.
After changing the value of shares, players receive or deposit into the bank the difference between the old and new values, multiplied by the number of shares of the corresponding color.
To a player who presents a card that reduces the value of his shares, the bank pays compensation (the difference between the old and new value shares multiplied by the number of shares of a given color). The remaining players are required to pay the difference in the reduction of this color to the bank.
If a player, when the value of shares increases, exceeds the maximum value provided on the board, then the chip moves to cell 25 and all players receive compensation (the difference between the maximum value and the actual value by the number of shares of a given color). For example, the old price of shares was 23 points, they increased them by 10 points, compensation is 23+10-25=8.
If a player, when lowering shares, goes beyond the lower limit, then he receives compensation only for the difference between their old value and the minimum. For example, the old cost is 3 points, decreased by 5 points, compensation is 3-1=2. All other players deposit the specified amount into the pot. In this case, the chip is set to the minimum value.
If the old value of the shares is 1 point and these shares have been reduced by half, then the player who presented it does not receive compensation, and everyone else contributes 50,000 to the bank for each share of that color.
To pay fines, the player must use free money; funds invested in other promotions cannot be used. If a player does not have enough available funds to pay off fines, he is obliged to sell to a bank or mortgage his property and pay off debts.
Having made one move, the player must leave the “Exchange” and continue the game along the outer or internal perimeter from which he entered the “Exchange” or, after paying customs, go to another circle.
For novice players, it is recommended not to play the “Exchange” at first and, once on it, skip one turn.
"Bank"
1. Sells and buys shares;
2. Gives out the profit received from playing on the “Exchange”;
3. Gives out winning shares;
4. Serves to transfer funds across the border from cell 25 to 52 and vice versa (to move to the inner perimeter, the player must sell 4 shares to the bank and pay 25,000 in cash. When moving back, you purchase 4 shares from the bank and pay 25,000 in cash);
5. Issues loans and takes property as collateral.
"Hotel"
Once on this cell, you have the right:
1. Play roulette 3 times;
2. Play once on the Exchange;
3. Buy a company abroad by rolling the dice and making one move along the small perimeter (if you wish, you can play all the options, then return to the “Hotel” and continue the game along the large perimeter).
"Customs"
You can travel abroad to work. To do this, you pay for crossing the border in the amount of 10,000 and sell half of your shares to the bank at the actual cost and begin to move along a small perimeter. When crossing the border, pay back to the bank 5,000 for each purchase abroad.
"Roulette"
You can play as much as you like. Walk clockwise, starting from any “entrance” sector, determining which one to throw from. Stopping at the “Add to Bank” arrow, you will receive 200,000 and be sure to exit the roulette wheel. You can also exit roulette if you wish by stopping at one of the “exit” sectors.
Having decided to leave, on the next throw you start counting from the company next to the roulette wheel.

Over the past few centuries, many scientists and psychologists have proven that board games have a significant role in every person’s life. great value. During the game, children and adults learn to think, build relationships and communicate with each other. In the evenings it is useful to gather in the company of loved ones or friends and have fun free time. Modern gaming industry manufacturers offer a wide range of different games that can be selected depending on age, gender, number of participants, personal preferences, etc. But there are single universal economic games that are suitable for absolutely everyone: adults and children, boys and girls, smart and stupid, quick and slow, etc.

What is Business 2000?

"Business 2000" is a board game that can be played by the whole family, from children to grandparents or friendly company. A smart, useful and educational board game, designed by a designer in the nineties of the last century and put on sale in 1989, has gained great popularity all over the world. The game is published by the Center for Advanced Development. "Business 2000" in its rules of the game is more reminiscent of the well-known world board game "Monopoly". Therefore, a person who has ever bought Monopoly will quickly become familiar with the rules of the game being described.

The board game "Business 2000" is a financial strategy that promotes the development of logic and observation, responsibility for decision-making, and the ability to predict results. It would seem that at first glance, only adults with an economic or financial education or an analytical mind can play it. Not really. Absolutely everyone can play it. It would be great if parents from an early age teach their child to play these types of games in order to develop best qualities which will be useful in later life.

How to play the board game "Business 2000"?

First of all, you should prepare the playing field, game elements and get ready for the game. The first participant rolls the dice and walks around the perimeter of the square-shaped playing field. At the same time, he has every right to buy, mortgage or sell various real estate, companies and even entire industries.

The rules of the game are so simple that during the course of the game each participant always comes up with something, fantasizes, analyzes and makes responsible decisions. Participants in the game have the right to enter into agreements with each other for any period of time. Luck awaits the player who does not rely on fate, but takes full responsibility for financial transactions, constantly making transactions. As a rule, the participant who leaves the game is the one who behaves passively, does not take active actions and simply burns all his savings, given to him at the beginning of the game and accumulated during the process. To play Business 2000, you need to have ingenuity and great determination, then success will certainly await the player.

The most interesting “chips” of the board game

  • Field “Notice. An interesting plot during the game is when the player needs to stand on the “Notice” field with his chip, read the card he comes across with a certain condition, and then fulfill it. A condition may include a requirement to receive a reward or, conversely, to pay a fine. In this case, any ingenuity is no longer required; here everything depends on the luck of the person playing.
  • Fields "Casino" and "Hippodrome". Interesting features of the board game are the Casino and Hippodrome, which all players play with great pleasure. The game participant will try to spend money on their fields. Whether he will be lucky or completely collapse is unknown; it all depends on the player’s strategy.
  • Card "Promotion". The “Promotion” card is of considerable interest, for which the player is required to pay a considerable amount cash. But at the same time, if used correctly, it can bring considerable income to each circle of its owner.

The only negative of the Business 2000 board game is its nondescript design. Many game elements are made of cardboard, so if you play frequently, it will not last as long as you really would like.

The board game "Businessman" will help you develop business qualities and acquire financial management skills. The game is intended for people of all ages. Even children will be able to learn a lot of useful things from it: learn composure, improve their counting and develop memory.

Basic rules of the game

The goal of the game “Businessman” is to take possession of the largest number of firms and enterprises and ruin your competitors.

From 2 to 6 people can take part in the game. Game props are laid out in their corresponding places in the middle of the field. Shares and cards with the designation of various companies are laid out in specially designated cells of the playing field. Participants in the game choose their chips, receive 1 share of each color and an initial credit of 250,000 tokens.

One of the game participants must take on the responsibilities of a banker. Then you need to distribute 3 large and 4 small Exchange cards to the players. Determine who will start the game and set the order of moves. Then place all the chips in the “Start” position and roll the dice. The resulting sum of points will determine how many cells the player who first threw the dice will have to advance. The next move will begin from the place where his piece stopped in last time. And so on in turn.

During the game, offers for the sale, pledge, exchange and purchase of real estate will have to come from the player whose turn it is to roll the dice. Throughout, they can walk around the perimeter of the playing field several times. Each time, after passing the “start” position, the participant will receive 20,000 credits from the bank.

Empty lot

The square on which the participant of the game has settled can be purchased at a certain price (it is indicated at the bottom of the card). It can also be sold to another player at a premium that suits both.

The player who takes possession of an empty plot must take an ownership card onto the field. He will be able to start building enterprises only after he has bought up all the empty plots of the same color. On each plot, you can first build a branch and then an enterprise, paying their cost in full.

There may not be enough branch and enterprise chips for all players. In this case, you need to wait until one of the participants returns them to the bank.

Opponent's site

If a player stays on a property that is already owned by someone, they must pay rent to the owner. Its prices are indicated on the site itself. If the player has already collected all the plots of the same color, the rent will increase by 2 times. A player may forget to ask another participant for rent before rolling the dice again. In this case, rent will no longer be charged.
Each player can make profitable deals with other participants in the game. Purchased cells can be exchanged and sold. This will make it easier for you to get a set of plots of the same color for further construction of enterprises and branches on them.

Cells of the playing field

The “Fine” cell means that you must pay 30,000 credits to the bank. The “Win” cell will replenish your piggy bank by 40,000. “Profit” will give you as much as 50,000 credits. If you land on the “Gift” cell, you will receive 3 shares of any color as a reward.

When you land on the “Surprise” or “Notice” cells, you must remove the top card from the corresponding pile and perform the actions outlined in it. Then place the card under the stack. If you get the “Play on the Exchange” card, keep it until you fulfill this condition.

"Exchange"

To get the opportunity to play on the exchange, you need:

Pull out the corresponding card;
- roll the dice with a result of 3:3;
- get to cells 3 (motorway), 10, 25, 50 and 52;
- get to the “Broker” cell (in this case, the player must pay 1000 credits for the service).

Once on the Exchange, a game participant can buy additional shares (4 of each color) and sell the securities he already has to other players. The initial price of shares is 10,000 credits. One cell on the “Exchange” board is valued at 1000 credits.

The player must present any of the cards he has. Large cards provide the opportunity to increase the price of shares desired color by 10 points, and also reduce the cost of shares of other colors. Two cards can increase or decrease the value of shares of only one color.

Small cards are divided into two groups: those that reduce the value of shares and those that, on the contrary, increase it. A player who decides to increase the price of shares of one color will simultaneously reduce the price of other shares by the number of points indicated on the card.

Changes in stock prices should be displayed on the “Exchange” display. To do this, you need to rearrange the chips of the corresponding color by the number of points that changed the initial value of the shares.

After the price of assets changes, the player must deposit the difference between their previous and new values into the bank. This difference must be multiplied by the number of shares of the desired color.

To a player who presents a card that reduces the value of his shares, the bank must pay compensation from the difference between the old and new value of the shares, multiplied by the number of assets of the corresponding color.

If the player, increasing the value of the shares, exceeded the maximum valid value on the scoreboard, his chip moves to position 25. Other players in this case will receive compensation in the form of the difference between the maximum value on the scoreboard and the real value of the assets. Compensation is multiplied by the number of shares of the same color. Let's say the stock's old price is 23 points. This price was increased by 10 points. Then the compensation will be 8 (23+10-25=8).

If a player lowers the price of shares and at the same time goes beyond the lower limit on the scoreboard, then as compensation he will receive only the difference between the previous value of the shares and the new minimum price for them. For example, the old share price was 3 points. The player lowered it by 5 points. His compensation in this case will be equal to 2 (3-1=2). The remaining players must deposit the specified amount of credits into the bank. In this case, the chip is set to the minimum value.

If the shares were reduced by 2 times, and their previous value was equal to 1 point, then the player who presented these shares will not receive compensation. The rest of the game participants will have to deposit 50,000 credits into the bank for each share of that color.

The player must pay fines only in cash. The funds he invested in shares are prohibited from being used. If a player runs out of available credits and needs to pay a fine, he must pledge or sell his property to the bank.

"Bank"

The Bank performs the following functions:

Buys and sells shares;
- gives out profit from playing on the Exchange;
- issues shares;
- issues loans and takes players’ real estate as collateral;
- transfers funds across the border (from cell 25 to 52).

"Hotel"

Once in a position called "Hotel", the player can:

Buy a company abroad by rolling the dice and making 1 move along the small perimeter;
- play for 3 times or on the exchange 1 time.

"Customs"

To go to work abroad, you must pay customs clearance in the amount of 10,000 credits. In addition, you will need to sell half of your shares to the bank at their actual value. Having crossed the border to the small perimeter of the field, you will be required to pay 5,000 credits to the bank for each purchase you make abroad.

"Roulette"

Roulette can be played an unlimited number of times. You will need to walk clockwise, starting from the "Enter" position. If you land on the “To the Bank” square, you will receive 200,000 credits as a reward. After this you must exit the roulette wheel. You can also leave the game by stopping at any “exit” square.

"Motorway"

Driving along the expressway must be done according to the number of points rolled on the dice. If you get to the third square of the highway, you will be given 5 shares.
If you find yourself on the 5th and 6th cells, an accident will follow. You will be admitted to the hospital and will have to pay for treatment in the amount of 30,000 credits.

After stopping at the 8th square of the highway, you undertake to deposit 1/2 of your money into the bank. But if you manage to reach the intersection, you can return to the large perimeter by paying a minimum fee of 5,000 credits.

"Supermarket"

Once in the “Supermarket” position, the game participants deposit 20,000 credits into the bank. You can also buy this plot for 50,000 and receive 75% of the profit from the rent of those of your rivals who accidentally end up in this zone.

"Trade"

Undeveloped plots are allowed to be sold at any time and in unlimited quantities. The buildings are sold to the bank at half price.

"Pledge"

If the player does not have enough credits, he can pledge his property to the bank. Mortgaged plots are not for sale. The mortgaged property cards are turned over and placed separately. If, after walking two circles around the large and small perimeters, the player still does not redeem his property, the bank will take it.

"Bankruptcy"

If the player cannot repay the debt, he leaves the game, giving his property to the bank. After this, the bank must pay the creditors the amount of the debt in full. Cards of an eliminated player can be purchased by other participants in the game.

The game was developed back in the nineties, so older participants will have the opportunity to enjoy the nostalgia of youth and childhood.

Understanding how to play the game released by the Center for Advanced Development is quite simple, especially if you have previously participated in the Monopoly game. Appearance and the rules of these sets are similar, so participants will be able to get used to it in a short time. Perhaps it was precisely because of its mechanics and themes that the game became so popular immediately after its release in nineteen eighty-nine. Participants emphasize adaptability in the game for a wide range of ages. Although the topic of economics seems complicated, in reality, children often beat their parents and become the most successful in entertainment, even if the young businessman and entrepreneur has just turned seven years old.

Game set

Rules and course of the game

The board game will help participants develop business skills. The rules of the game Business 2000 Take 2 allow for simultaneous participation from two to six people. At the beginning of the game, place all the components in the appropriate places in the center of the playing field. All assets (stocks and companies) must be placed in their place on the map. All players take one chip, choosing the color they like. Everyone receives one share of each type and takes a starting captain of two hundred and fifty tokens.

One player will become a banker who will issue money and keep track of the status of other participants. He gives everyone, including himself, three large and four small Exchanges. Now you need to decide who will be the first to walk. This can be done by agreement, or by playing the right. To do this, roll the dice. The participant who received highest number becomes the first player.

All chips must be placed on the start square. To determine how many steps the figure can be moved, the participant rolls the dice. The dropped number indicates the number of cells. The chip always begins its movement from the cell on which it stood at the beginning of the participant’s turn. The right of movement is passed clockwise.

Proposals for collateral, exchange, acquisition of real estate and its sale must be made at the time the participants move. During the entire game, the chips make several circles around the playing field. Each time the participant lands on the “Start” square or steps over it, he receives twenty thousand monetary units.

One player will become a banker who will issue money and keep track of the status of other participants

Empty lot

Each asset indicates the price for which it can be purchased. You can do this on your turn when the chip lands on the corresponding cell. If the card is available, its price will correspond to the numbers written below.

When a participant buys a plot that he lands on during his turn, he takes a card from the cell. It is impossible to build enterprises on them until the player collects all the plots of the same color. Once this happens, he will be able to build a workshop and improve it in the long run. In this way, each site can develop from a small branch to a large enterprise. For each building you need to pay the specified price.

The number of branches available for construction is limited. If you have collected all the cards of the same color, but there are no buildings in the bank, you need to wait until one of the opponents sells his. Then you can add them to the plots, but only on your turn.

Opponent's site

When the plot has already been purchased by your opponent and the chip lands on this square, you will have to pay a fee. How much the passage costs is written on the card. Renting plots can vary greatly, so you don’t have to buy all the cards at once to get a successful start. Sometimes it is enough to take the cell with the highest fee. This way you can save up for your first purchases. If a player has nothing to pay for a move, he can offer his own enterprise in exchange.

Ultimately, you should aim to buy all plots of the same color. With each new construction the fee for passing through the cage will increase. At the final stage, the rental amount can ruin the player who passed through your enterprise.

Cells of the playing field

In addition to areas on the playing field, you can find cells that give bonuses or hit your wallet:

  • The “fine” will force the victim to pay thirty thousand credits to the bank.
  • The winnings will add forty thousand monetary units to the amount on hand.
  • The profit will add fifty credits to the player’s treasury.
  • The gift square brings the participant who lands on it three new promotions of a random color.
  • "Surprise" and "Notice" force the player to take the top card from the pile with the corresponding name and perform the task described on it. This could be a requirement to take a certain amount from the bank, pay a fine, move a few cells forward, or, conversely, go back.
  • The "Play the Exchange" card must remain in the player's hand until he completes this task.

On the playing field you can find cells that give bonuses or hit your wallet

Exchange

To play on the stock exchange, a player must fulfill one of four conditions:

  • You must roll the dice and get a result of three: three.
  • Pull out the "Play the stock market" card.
  • Get to one of required cells(third, tenth, twenty-fifth, fiftieth and fifty-second).

Sign up for the Broker and pay a thousand credits for the service.

On the exchange, participants can purchase new shares (maximum of four pieces of any color) or sell those they already have in hand. The starting price of each security is thousands, but can be raised during bidding if several participants compete to buy it.

To play on the stock exchange you must fulfill one of four conditions

At the beginning, one of the participants must provide any card from his hand at his discretion. If you present large cards, the price of the securities can be increased by ten units or the price of other shares can be reduced. If you present a two-card, you can only act on a card of one color of your choice.

Small cards are divided into two categories: those that reduce the price of shares and those that increase them. Moreover, if a participant reduces the cost of securities of one color, and cards of other colors become more expensive. This also works in the opposite direction.

Cost changes

All changes in the value of securities are recorded on the Exchange table. Move the chips along the scale by the number of cells equal to the increase or decrease in the stock price.

If the price of your assets has increased, you need to report the difference to the bank. These numbers are multiplied by the number of securities of the correct color.

If the price of securities decreases, its owners are paid monetary compensation. It is also multiplied by the amount of assets whose price has been changed.

It happens that one of the participants increases the price of securities and the price becomes higher than acceptable. Then the token in the table rises to the twenty-fifth position. If, for example, the price of a stock is twenty-three and it is increased by ten, players with such assets will pay eight monetary units to the bank.

There is also a limit to price reductions. Even going beyond the minimum value limit in the table, participants receive monetary compensation in the difference between the last price and the minimum mark. The chip is placed on the bottom division.

In stock market games, you can only pay fines in cash. The use of money invested in shares is prohibited. If you don't have the cash to pay, sell the property to the bank or mortgage it until you can buy it back.

Bank

During the game, participants will constantly interact with the bank. It is needed to:

Hotel

In the game, participants can get into the "Hotel". It gives you the opportunity to purchase new company abroad. To do this, you need to roll the dice and make a move in the inner circle. Also at the hotel you can play roulette (maximum three times) or take part in a game on the stock exchange once.

Customs

When a player goes through customs, he must pay a tax of ten thousand credits. Half of the shares must be transferred to the bank. For this, the participant receives their actual cost, taking into account all price changes. For each purchase in the inner circle, members pay a tax of five thousand credits.

Roulette

The number of roulette games is unlimited (unless you are standing on a hotel square). Each turn starts from the entry square. When hitting the “To the bank” mark, the player takes a reward of two hundred thousand. Having collected his winnings, the participant leaves the game. Another way to leave the roulette wheel is to land on the "Exit" square.

Motorway

The expressway involves moving according to the numbers rolled on the dice. When you land on square 3, you receive five new shares. Sometimes accidents happen on the road. this can happen if you get to the fifth and sixth squares. Then you go to the hospital and pay for treatment costing thirty thousand credits.

Once on the eighth cell, the participant gives half of his money to the bank. Try to get to the intersection. This will give you the opportunity to return to the outer circle with a minimum tax of five thousand credits.

Supermarket

One of the most expensive areas for the chips that fall on it. Each hit will cost them twenty thousand monetary units. The profit will be received by the participant who purchased the Supermarket for fifty thousand credits. So each player who gets into it will give twenty-five percent to the bank and seventy-five percent to the owner’s pocket.

The supermarket is one of the most expensive areas for the chips that fall on it.

Trade

During the game, children and adults learn to think, build relationships and communicate with each other. In the evenings, it is useful to gather in the company of loved ones or friends and have fun in your free time.

"Business 2000" is a board game that can be played by the whole family, from children to grandparents, or a group of friends.

It will be great if parents teach their child to play these types of games from an early age in order to develop better qualities that will be useful in later life.

The “Promotion” card is of considerable interest, for which the player is required to pay a considerable amount of money. But at the same time, if used correctly, it can bring considerable income to each circle of its owner.

The only negative of the Business 2000 board game is its nondescript design. Many game elements are made of cardboard, so if you play frequently, it will not last as long as you really would like.
