Project and decor

The main idea when designing the interior was to create optimal freedom of movement around the house. The consequence is a small amount of furniture, compensated by color accents, lighting details and textiles. Size and pattern interior doors visually increased the height of the sloping ceilings of the townhouse. The decorator designed all the rooms in the same style and delicate shades.

Ekaterina Gracheva, decorator: “For us, northern residents, traveling to Italy always gives us a bright and emotionally rich flavor. So in this interior we tried to give maximum warmth and colors, emotional details. When working on the project, the primary goal was to take a holistic approach to the interior. Despite the fact that three generations live under one roof big family, the rooms had to be designed in the same style. We strived for delicate colors, not bright, not flashy, but at the same time not boring, rich, with spectacular splashes of lingonberry-berry and coffee-milk tones. This also applied to textiles. We were given a goal: freedom to move around the house. Therefore, there are no unnecessary pieces of furniture or anything else that could create a feeling of heaviness or oversaturation. But interesting moments arose: the light from the chandeliers reflected on the walls in patterns, creating unexpected optical effects. Furniture shapes with elements Italian classics– deliberately streamlined. It is important that the customers agreed to keep the working fireplace in the living room; it literally and figuratively warmed the house. Required condition there was observance of “natural unity” - the connection between the interior and the exterior, therefore the interior included a lot of natural materials: marble, wood, natural stone. The maximum height of doors and baseboards is dictated by the desire to visually raise the sloping ceilings of the townhouse. And keeping the amount of tiles to a minimum supported the feeling that bathrooms are an extension of the living spaces.”

Independent opinion

Diana Balashova, decorator: “The bathroom is very nice. It’s nice that there are no decorations, not even a ceiling cornice. Only bath and marble. The choice is absolutely undeniable. Egg and stone. Both the shape and texture are very beautiful. It will never get boring, it will always delight you. The chandelier seems inappropriate, lightweight, simple. Murano glass the color of water or emerald would be suitable here. Or, on the contrary, some kind of iconic chandelier modern design. Well, a mason could pay more attention when laying marble to see how the pattern is repeated. Lovely bedroom. Foil wallpaper adds depth. Gray, powdery, dusty pink and a raspberry bench as an accent - everything looks very good together. It’s great that you didn’t buy an expensive chandelier, it would have become stuffy. This simple lampshade keeps it airy and casual. Newspaper clippings were framed and hung, covering the wall from floor to ceiling. Such trellis hanging is rarely used, it is very unusual. The kitchen of the Aster brand is an ideal ratio of price and quality; this panel is their most successful. I don't understand why rectangular rooms lay parquet diagonally. There is no logic in this. This is either design for the sake of design, or the builders did not install the walls parallel, and direct installation, as we know, will certainly reveal this. It would be nice to have a rug in the living room, although choosing one might be difficult. He would add expressiveness to the room, visually collect upholstered furniture into the group and gave the interior completeness.”

Vera Tarlovskaya, decorator: "Modern, current house for a city dweller. The authors used a win-win option color design interior using comfortable beige tones as a basis or background. This, of course, made it possible to connect the rooms of the house, designed in different styles, into one whole, to unite them with a common color approach. The interior turned out to be eclectic - I think due to direct participation customers and their probably different requests. Each room in the house reveals the careful approach of the project’s authors to decor; each has its own stylistic flair. At the same time, obviously, the authors did not follow the lead of style, but relied on functionality. The absolute heart of the house is the well-designed combined space of the kitchen, living room and dining room. A universal, calm and at the same time respectable, even a little austere room in an enveloping beige shade, slightly diluted with strokes of restrained lilac. In soft, dusty tones, the decorators completely “dissolved” functional kitchen with a big work surface and a spacious storage system. I liked the graphical solution fireplace area. A beautifully designed chandelier sets the tone for the entire room. The authors have a keen sense of color; even monochrome photographs on the walls visually support the fireplace theme. Floor-to-ceiling windows with access to the garden, wicker baskets, and natural linen colors help create a feeling of isolated country life.”

13.07.2007 - 19.07.2007

From July 13 to July 19, 2007 in Moscow, on the territory of the park of the Count Osterman estate, (Delegatskaya str., 3) the Sixth Garden Week of the Mezzanine magazine is taking place - an annual exhibition dedicated to modern trends landscape design and the art of creating a garden. 2007 theme - "Rose Garden".

The editor-in-chief of Mezzanine magazine, Natasha Barbier, explains this year's theme as follows:
“Due to climate change, summers in Moscow are becoming increasingly hotter, and I seriously hope that, as apocalyptically minded ecologists predict, someday orange trees will begin to bloom in our latitudes. This, of course, will be a strong blow to the traditional vision of landscape design in country, however, those of the masters of the genre who constantly participate in the Garden Week of the Mezzanine magazine will be the most prepared for such changes. Perhaps this is not the most serious reason why for the sixth year in a row we are changing the appearance of the charming park of our friendly All-Russian Museum. decorative, applied and folk art, inviting Muscovites for a week to admire ponds, fountains, gazebos, flower beds and, for some reason, sculptures that are especially popular among masters of garden art. Another explanation, this time more practical: we really want to create, albeit temporary, in the center of the capital. but an oasis of greenery and flowers, coolness and comfort and give the best and most daring designers the opportunity to show their talents and real capabilities. This time we also invited the stars of our cinema and theater to dream about beauty, whose radiance, I am sure, will only enhance the impression of the “rose gardens”... Yes, I almost forgot: oranges are not yet in bloom and the “orange theme” is not relevant , - this year's gardens have been declared pink. Life in pink color“Isn’t that wonderful?”

Like all desperate fantasies, the Garden Weeks of the Mezzanine magazine began despite the weather - in the September rain and in not the most convenient territory: in the courtyard of the Dacha art gallery in Zhukovka. The success of the initiative and the gratitude of the audience allowed the organizers to expand this only exhibition in the country in the “real garden” genre to the park of Count Osterman’s estate on the Garden Ring, in the very center of Moscow.

VI Garden Week of the Mezzanine magazine is:
- an oasis in the center of Moscow;
- one of the most beautiful events of the summer;
- garden fantasies from the best landscape designers;
- pink clouds and pink labyrinths, scarlet roses and delicate lilies, quotes from William Shakespeare and James Whistler, life in pink and walks along pink alleys;
- celebrity muses: Ingeborga Dapkunaite, Nelly Uvarova, Tatyana Arno and Victoria Tolstoganova, Ekaterina Andreeva, Aidan Salakhova, Masha Tsigal and Maria Alexandrova.
- music of the gardens: “Spring on Karl Johan Street”, DJ Osadchy, Positive Orchestra, DJ Kraviz, ESH, DJ Vobla and many others. Concerts begin on July 13, 14 and 15 at 20.00.

    Tatyana Smolyaninova, Maxim Ardatov // ARTEZA Company

    Idea: " At the core planning solution The exhibition is an attempt to take a fresh look at the image of a vegetable garden, to rethink it, breathing fresh meaning into a familiar concept.
    Our garden is a combination of pleasant and useful. The utilitarian function exists on equal terms with the decorative one; beauty and benefit interact, complementing each other. This is exactly the place where you can enjoy the fruits of your labor and share them with others in a pleasant environment. There is an atmosphere of creation here. Paths paved with wood, a house in the trees, beds with vegetables, two small ponds, cereals and perennial flowers, shrubs are the main attributes of this small garden, giving rise to a special mood. Functionality and practicality create an extraordinary type of beauty, cozy, measured and comfortable."

    Ilya Vasetsky // Lee-Air Company

    Idea:“The entire space that contains white sand symbolizes the Great Emptiness of all Origins. It gives birth to Universes of Life, which are innumerable, just as there is innumerable particles of sand. The very relief of space resembles the oncoming waves of eras layered on top of each other. They also interpenetrate and enrich each other with manifestations and images of endless changes. On the crests of Epochal waves, symbols of human passions and sympathies appear. We see the landscape of Megacentury Emotions, the creative creations of Humanity, its Spirit. These are the Universes of the Landscape."

    Natalia Emelyanova, Elena Pokasova // Landscape workshop "Russian Lawns"

    Idea:"A bully breeze flutters the light veil of the window, it smells delicious apple pie And raspberry jam, grandmother is carrying a samovar and cups - we will drink tea. And you, abandoning your important affairs, rush as fast as you can through the thickets of lilac and jasmine to the gazebo. The spicy aroma of roses is intoxicating, the thorns scratch your hands, but you pick these flowers to give to your grandmother.
    And then you drink tea from your favorite cup and start the old record again. A warbler playfully echoes the melodic creaking, a pot-bellied bumblebee flies from flower to flower, a hedgehog busily scurries around in the currant bushes. AND THERE IS NOTHING MORE BEAUTIFUL THAN THIS MOMENT.
    Close your eyes, move the gate in the fence and step into the GARDEN OF YOUR CHILDHOOD..."

    Elena Astashkina, landscape designer

    Idea: "The theme "Rose Garden" puts you in a romantic mood, conjuring up a traditional picture: clouds of roses on openwork pergolas surrounded by other flowers and herbs. But, throwing away all stereotypes, I wanted to combine the incompatible - classic ceremonial flowers with a strict minimalist architectural solution. The dynamics and expressiveness of the forms in this garden are achieved through the contrast of the smooth lines of the retaining walls and the geometry of the path pattern. Their close spatial relationships give security to the central area. Bright scarlet roses impact the viewer with their mass and architecture, evoking a feeling of warmth, strength, and weight. Planted with a certain slope, as if “running down” from the mountain, they create a feeling of aspiration and movement. In contrast to them, on the other side of the slope there are frame balls entwined with sweet peas. By adding inclusions of delicate bindweed, a harmonious combination is obtained between living and artificial lines, forming a single form. The lawn background gives a calm color tone, emphasizing the shape of the lines and the brightness of the shades. "

    Olga Klyuchnikova // Landscape studio "Aquilegia"

    Idea: "We all remember how, as children, we loved fairy tales and believed in miracles. Clouds floating across the sky are also a miracle. We watch them with interest, carried away into the world of fantasy and dreams. And how beautiful the sky is in the rays of sunset, when the clouds seem pink! Let's imagine how we float above the earth on a pink cloud and find ourselves in the land of flowers, in a marvelous rose garden."

    Olga Stepanova, Dmitry Budanov, Mikhail Stepanov // Thorns and Roses LLC

    Idea: "In the composition of our stand we used neoclassical style And modern technologies in the production of garden decor. We proceeded from the fact that traditions always give an artistic idea a powerful energy charge, and modern materials provide additional features in the implementation of the plan.
    As a philosophical idea, we used the dialectic of the emergence of beauty as a result of overcoming difficulties. Who but a gardener knows that only hard work (often using humus!) brings an enchanting finale, lush flowering, an abundance of greenery, magnificent fruits and vegetables. Simply put - where there are thorns, there are roses!
    "

    Yuri Aistov, Kristina Luferova // Gallery "Interiors of Maharajas" and creative group "VitLuf"

    Idea: “Today, health and everything that helps maintain it are in fashion. We prefer to live outside the city, we use natural materials, we create gardens around our houses and select quality products. This is our reaction to post-industrial reality, where increased progress is directly related to increased stress, where the consequences of “great victories” over nature bring more fears than benefits. Therefore art proper organization living space is one of the guarantors of survival, believe Yuri Aistov and Kristina Luferova.
    Their stand is a small installation harmoniously organized space, which is easy to create not only in country house, but also in a city apartment. It will give you the opportunity to replenish your vitality, meet friends or take care of raising children. All plants in this space are medicinal and proper care not only create a pleasant garden atmosphere, but also all year round support your health. Tea drinking has always been considered a sacred rite, even a kind of meditation among friends, and healing properties elite teas are legendary."

    Petr Zhestkoff // LLC "Park Restoration" and agency "Trypheme"

    Idea: "The garden demonstrates absolutely new material For vertical gardening. This development allows the installation of decorative green walls, creating a permanent or short-term exhibition of wildlife both inside and outside the building. You can have lunch, spend time on the terrace, drink a glass in a fragrant environment of greenery and freshness, without noticing the asphalt, city traffic jams and the sounds of horns. You are surrounded by a garden! This development can be widely used in the construction of living arches, labyrinths and gazebos. And if you want to give joy to guests and heroes of the occasion for a wedding, anniversary or other occasion, install a blooming decoration. This can be done in just one day!"

    Svetlana Tsibizova, Elena Sedova // "Gardening company "Sadko"

    Idea: "We continue the theme of the modern garden of a successful person. Earth, Water, Air - elements inextricably linked with our lives, regardless of era, historical events and beliefs. Gardens of Earth, Water and Air, united by a mist of lavender-pink colors, outlined by the smooth lines of Art Nouveau and emphasized by the rigid geometric forms of the avant-garde - this is our idea of modern garden Today. Romantically decorated everyday life. Asymmetry, taking off upward in a spiral. The victory of beauty over everyday life and at the same time rationalism and functionality. Struggle and unity that give rise to the harmony of the present day."

    Anna Nikitina // Landscape Design Laboratory "Zemun"

    Idea: "Today everyone understands that a person can live fully only in careful, reasonable interaction with the outside world. We see our task as educating a new generation of Russians with maximum respect and love for nature, hometown, to your country. Our ancestors did not separate themselves from nature, from the planetary world around us. This is confirmed by the information that is becoming increasingly popular and in demand by people all over the world, accumulated over centuries about the relationship and mutual influence of humans and the plant and animal world, the elements, the Universe... Just as relationships between people are built differently, green ones interact in the same way inhabitants of the Earth. For every person there are plants and trees that have the most beneficial effect on him. One of our projects, “Family Arboretum,” is designed to teach people to master the technique of proper interaction with the world of plants from an early age. From time immemorial, the tradition of planting a tree in honor of a newborn has come to us. But not only for children - for each family member we offer to plant his Tree, his green friend for life, helping to establish an inextricable connection between Man and Nature, Man and the Planet."

    Oksana Khleborodova // Landscape workshop "Author's Garden"

    Idea: " Spanish colony. Very Old Garden. Once upon a time this small center of civilization subjugated wildlife. The pinkish reflections of the sun playfully pass through the colored glass of the stained glass windows, still dancing flamenco on the slabs of the mosaic bath, remembering the graceful tread of the planter's daughters...
    But as soon as man loosens his tight grip, nature gently but confidently takes its toll. And now the banks of the channel are closing in, overgrown with lush tropical greenery. Stained glass flamingos are being replaced by live ones. And only sundial calmly live according to their unshakable laws, with the only difference that the trees around have become large and a ray of sun has to work hard to break through the thick foliage... Every garden is subject to metamorphosis to one degree or another. We have the right to fight them, but sometimes we simply cannot deny ourselves the pleasure of accepting the gift of Time.
