We do the same with the second board: measure 22.5 cm from the end and apply markings.
We lay the boards along the marking lines and check the accuracy of the fit using a square.
We connect the crosspiece with four screws or self-tapping screws.
We screw supports from square scraps along the edges of the top board.
We apply cross markings to determine the center into which the main rotor will be screwed in or a wide through hole will be drilled.
Drill a pilot hole.
For small trees, mounting with a 120 mm through screw will be sufficient. If desired, you can use a feather drill to make a wide through hole of the required diameter; a depth of 5 cm is enough for the tree trunk to be firmly positioned in the cross.
Glue the felt pads. They will protect the floor from scratches and add stability to the cross.
The next project is simpler, but no less reliable option Christmas tree stand. The third project is a simple and sustainable wooden stand, which can be adjusted to any barrel diameter. The crosspiece consists of three supporting elements. The optimal length of each part is 250 mm. Two parallel grooves are milled in the face of each of them. The ends of the boards are cut at an angle of 60°, and shallow guide holes for screws with wide washers are drilled into them. It is convenient to store the collapsible elements of the cross in a compact stack until the next holiday.

Four elements, cut with a jigsaw according to the template suggested below, will easily turn into a beautiful and stable stand that can support a Christmas tree 2.5 meters or more in height. The structure is tightened using screws screwed into pre-prepared holes, and can also be easily disassembled without taking up extra space during storage. You can place a reservoir of water under the stand so that the spruce stands even longer and continues to fill the house with its unique scent.
The main decoration of the New Year is certainly the green forest beauty, which should be installed in such a way that during the celebration it does not fall and unforeseen situations arise.
Of course, today there are a lot of different options, due to which the process of installing a Christmas tree occurs in a matter of minutes. This includes various crosspieces, spacers, and factory-made fasteners. However, sometimes it is necessary to install a Christmas tree without a cross, and we would like to talk about how to do this most optimally.
Standard installation of a Christmas tree in the sand
It involves placing the green beauty in conditions close to natural, due to which the tree does not lose its attractiveness for a long time and can delight others for a whole month.
The process of installing a Christmas tree in sand is carried out in the following sequence:
- The tree trunk is leveled (using a hacksaw, the edge of the trunk should be trimmed so that an even cut is obtained);
- Using wooden blocks 150 - 200 mm long, reinforcement is made, for which the materials are knocked together crosswise and the entire resulting structure is nailed to the end of the Christmas tree trunk;
- The trunk treated in this way is placed on the bottom of the bucket, and the entire tank is filled with raw, clean sand.
To ensure moisture, the sand should be periodically watered with warm, slightly sweetened water.
High-speed installation of a Christmas tree
A more innovative solution is to quickly install the Christmas tree using a bucket and plastic bottles(volume 1.5 - 2 liters). The essence of this method comes down to the fact that plastic bottles are filled with water (not to capacity) and installed vertically in a bucket around the perimeter in such a way as to provide clearance for installing the barrel. After this, the tree trunk is forcefully inserted into the cavity formed in the middle, and the tree is properly fixed in the bucket.
Essentially, the water bottles act as spacers and hold the tree trunk in position in the bucket. The advantages of this method are obvious:
- You can install a Christmas tree with any trunk diameter (by selecting plastic bottles of a certain size);
- Absolute cleanliness during work (unlike installation in sand, with this option there is absolutely no debris generated);
- Speed of work (you can install a Christmas tree without a cross using plastic bottles within a couple of minutes).
Watering such a tree is also not difficult and warm water is simply poured into a bucket (5cm from the bottom) and periodically added as needed.
From all of the above, we can conclude that installing a Christmas tree is a very responsible procedure, which, if you follow all the recommendations, can be done independently.

We set aside this distance from the edge of each block. (It’s better to take a little less so that the butt grips well. My butt thickness is a little more than five centimeters. I set aside exactly five.) 
I immediately set aside the second distance, the line along which the bars will join. This is half the thickness of the bar.
Drill a couple of holes along the line for self-tapping screws. 
Since my timber is thick and the screws are not particularly long, the holes will have to be countersunk.
Done, ready to assemble.
This is what ended up happening. 
What's missing from this cross? Just like those sold on the market. For a tree to stand longer, it needs moisture. The butt must be in the water. Cut four cubes from the same block.
We drill, countersink, screw.

This option does not require any tools other than a screwdriver and a dozen screws. You also need some kind of massive base. Everything is quite simple here. Find the center and draw a circle. 
We put the corners and screw them in. 
You can put up a Christmas tree and secure it. Five minutes of time.
If you wish, you can take polypropylene plumbing pipe suitable diameter 
and cut a piece from it. 
You will get a glass. 
Having pulled a pair of condoms onto it from below, you can safely pour water. 
A not particularly aesthetic appearance can be easily draped with improvised means.
Well, that seems to be all. All this homemade work took me three times less time than writing the post. 
Option three. Stool.
If you’re on the edge and don’t have anything at hand, you can stupidly turn the kitchen stool over and tie the Christmas tree to the legs :))
