Old edition of GOST 588 64 from 1964. Guest for industrial chains and sprockets. Derived SI units with special names
This section of the TSEPINVEST company website contains an extended list of GOSTs according to which industrial chains are manufactured. In the production of each chain, GOST is the main document that guides the enterprise: it indicates the type of raw materials, type of coating, design features of the product and much more. Currently, parallel to GOST standards, ISO and ANSI standards exist and are actively used, but this is more relevant for countries near and far abroad.
Types of Standards Used in Chain Manufacturing
For the manufacture of metal chains, according to GOST, a list of steel grades used in production is indicated, which includes high-strength, corrosion-resistant alloys. The standards define the requirements for roller, bushing, plate and other modifications of drive chains; there are also regulations for the manufacture of metal sprockets that are part of the drive or traction transmission. The following groups of GOSTs are most often used:
- GOST-13568-97. The standards relevant for the production of roller and bushing type drive chains are indicated here. The document was approved in 1997 and is still relevant today;
- GOST-591-69. Metal sprockets used in conjunction with drive chains are manufactured according to the standards specified in this regulation;
- GOST-588-81. Developed specifically for the production of traction leaf chains. Using this standard, cargo conveyor lines are built in factories; in addition, its use helps maintain the quality of manufacturing of these products.
In this section you can familiarize yourself with, and, if you wish, save for yourself any standards related to the manufacture of roller, bushing, plate chains, as well as sprockets used in cargo conveyors. If the standards for the production of roller, bushing, leaf chains do not meet the requirements of your production, you can order them according to individual parameters, this also applies to sprockets. The TSEPINVEST company works with several companies in this field and will fulfill all your wishes.
The TSEPINVEST company is one of the places where you are offered plate chains at very competitive prices for Moscow. A wide range of leaf chains is one of the main advantages of our work, however, along with it there are others worth mentioning: high quality of all leaf chains available for sale, as well as a focus on all industries without exception that use traction conveyor lines, and, consequently, leaf chains. Do you want to buy a single row leaf chain for roller conveyor or are you interested in constructive solutions, involving the use of other types of leaf chains - we have everything you need!
There are quite a lot of industries where plate chains are used: these include shipbuilding and rigging, mechanical engineering and metallurgy, waste recycling and manufacturing confectionery. It would take a very long time to list all the places where leaf chains, roller chains or other types are in demand. For the manufacture of all types of leaf chains for industry, it is used as Russian standard- GOST 588-81, and international - DIN 8165 and ISO 1977.
Types of leaf chains: single row and double row
The catalog of lamellar chains of the TSEPINVEST company contains various traction roller lamellar chains designed for traction conveyor lines operating in all areas of industry. Before you buy a suitable leaf chain, you need to determine what type it should be: single-row or double-row.
Leaf chain design and components different types They are similar, they differ only in the number of rows. The external and internal links of leaf chains include such components as: metal plates, bushings, rollers, as well as movable rollers, which ensure the rotation of the roller mechanism in which the leaf chains operate. The movement is carried out as follows: the plate chain rolls along the wheel tooth and transmits rotation to the corresponding mechanism.
Traction leaf chains, intended for use in conveyor lines of various industries, have a number of characteristic features and advantages:
- High resistance of lamellar chains to elevated temperatures. Careful selection of raw materials for the manufacture of plate chains allows them to be operated at temperatures up to 300 degrees. This is not relevant for all industries, but contributes to a longer maintenance-free period for leaf chains in any field;
- Energy transfer efficiency. The rolling friction present in the operation of roller leaf chains contributes to maximum increasing efficiency, which, in turn, makes production using plate chains more profitable;
- Accelerated operation of the leaf chain drive mechanism. Single and double row leaf chains can make a roller mechanism rotate at impressive speeds of 30 meters per second or more. For many industries this circumstance has great value– the increase in labor productivity due to the use of leaf chains is obvious;
- Long service life. All types of lamellar conveyor chains have increased resistance to temperature and mechanical loads, which is very important when used in industry. The highest reliability was demonstrated by conveyor plate chains with two or more rows of elements.
In order to find a suitable single-row, double-row or other type of conveyor chain, take a look at the chain catalog of the TSEPINVEST company. If you don’t have time to select a suitable chain or don’t want to spend time understanding the types of chains and their sizes, our consultants will come to the rescue. They will easily find you the type of chain suitable for your industry, and the chain will meet all selection criteria. In Moscow, our company is a leader in sales various types roller and we will be glad to see you among our customers!

REISSUE (July 1989) with Amendment No. 1, approved in December 1986 (IUS 3-87)
This standard applies to traction plate bushing, roller and roller chains used in hoisting and transport machines and other mechanisms.
The standard fully complies with ST SEV 1011-78.
The standard takes into account the requirements international standards ISO 1977/I (section 1) and ISO 1977/III (section 2).
1. TYPES, VERSIONS, MAIN PARAMETERS AND SIZES OF CHAINS
1.1. The standard sets following types traction plate chains:
1 - sleeve;
2 - roller;
3 - rollers with smooth rollers with plain bearings;
4 - rollers with flanges on rollers with plain bearings.
